I looked it up, it is 25C at the moment and will be getting to 35C later today. It's all relative I guess. That's mild and pleasant to me but my idea of 'freezing' makes Londoners laugh.

those temps are stifling for us in the uk especially up in scotland :floorlaugh: i felt like i was cooking myself yesterday :scared:

Same here.

My parents who are English keep telling me off when I laugh at the "hot" weather in the UK. Apparently it is a really stifling oppressive heat. I still laugh and remind them what the southern states of Australia are like in the middle of summer.

They laugh at me in winter. :blushing:

It's so exciting, a baby is a joyous occasion, but an heir is really special.

The royal baby is coming!

Kate Middleton has gone into labor and is awaiting the birth of her and Prince William 's first child at St. Mary's Hospital in London, Kensington Palace has confirmed.

"Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge has been admitted this morning to St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London in the early stages of labor," read an official statement from the palace, released Monday morning, local time. "The Duchess traveled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge."

Kensington Palace confirms Kate entered the hospital shortly before 6 a.m. local time and went into labor naturally.

London — Prince William’s wife, Kate, is in the early stages of labor in a private wing of a central London hospital, palace officials said Monday.

It is a historic moment for the British monarchy — the couple’s first child will become third in line for the British throne, after Prince Charles and William, and should eventually become king or queen.

William and Kate entered St. Mary’s Hospital in central London through a side door early Monday morning, avoiding the world’s media. Palace officials confirmed her arrival about 90 minutes later...

CNN reporting that the Queen (who I believe was on holiday and away from London) has arrived at Buckingham Palace.

As for the heat here, yes it is hot for England! We also don't have air conditioning like lots of homes in the US. It's available but not needed most of the time.
