**all things zfg lawsuit merged **

Casey Anthony's defense attorneys will ask a judge at a court hearing on Tuesday to throw out a civil lawsuit against their client on the basis that it's frivolous.

A woman by the name of Zenaida Gonzalez has filed a defamation lawsuit against Anthony, seeking $15,000 and claiming that she could not secure employment because of the link to the case.

If the judge allows the case to move forward, Anthony's attorneys will request that the civil case be postponed until after her murder trial, which is scheduled to begin next year.

Will this morning's hearing and tomorrow's hearing be televised?

I'm confused. Can they ask for it to be dismissed after they counter-sued? That's weird to me. :waitasec:

If Baez wants this suit dismissed, they should drop their counter suit or settle out of court.

Just my thoughts... if I was on the jury for the ZFG case

(not to stand up for Casey)

1. Casey seen a picture of her and said NO she did not know her and she was to old.

2. The children's names are different than the roommates names.

3. There are several other ZG's and they are not having problems with jobs.

4. ZG was found by a local news station and ZG CHOSE to go on TV in the "shadow". If ZG would have turned the tv station down in a request for an interview. We would not know or care about her. Just like we do not know or care about all the other ZG's in Orlando.

5. Casey stated that ZG was 25 years old and sometimes wore straight or curly hair.

6. When asked if she had children Casey said No or she did not know.

Maybe Casey was wanting to use the ZG name from the lady down the street who's house is for sale. Why shouldn't she file for defamation? Why do not all the ZG's in Orlando sue?

45.

BBM

Be it a coincidence or not, this is the only ZG that was connected to the Sawgrass apartments.

I would like to know a lot more about this ZG. I have a feeling that this case is a sham. Not that KC does not deserve to be sued, why not , she doesn't have anything anyway. I do believe this woman would have done better to sue her employer for wrongful dismissal. If it was a chain hotel maybe she could have gained something. Why did she still have a NY license plate if she was living and working in florida all that time? I cannot even understand why a judge would allow a civil case to go forward when a criminal case is pending. Makes not sense to me. However, I am not a lawyer.

I'm not so sure she could have sued her employer

Employment Law in Florida
At Will

In Florida, employees are presumed to be "at will." At-will employees may be terminated for any reason, so long as it's not illegal. Generally, employees who work under an employment contract can only be terminated for reasons specified in the contract. In Florida, it is very difficult to overcome the at-will presumption.

Maybe ZG would have made out better if she sued LE.. they are the ones who singled her out of all the other ZG.
I am sorry but I think she is milking this thing to death.
What's in a name.. ??? There are millions of people with the same name. Should they all sue. How can they prove that she was being singled out from all the other ZG by Casey? I seem to remember that the pings on Casey's phone were not anywhere near the apts when ZG was there. Where did she see or hear of ZG? Casey seems pick three names for her non existent friends. They all have middle names. ZG does not have the middle name Fernandez. Sorry, but something about that case has a strange odor.

By the way. Iago speech about He who steals my good name

Iago's speech is in ironic contrast to his exhortations of Roderigo to "put money in thy purse When it suits his purposes better, Iago can exclaim that virtue's "a fig" (Act 1, scene 3, 319), and that reputation is merely something one cultivates in order to hide his true intentions. It rather suits his purposes here, however, to cloak his evil intentions—his desire to ruin Othello's marriage—in the pieties of friendship and sacred respect for another man's honor.
