I can't understand what this judge is talking about.....

JUge talking about whether or not to Stay - and wondering about a gag order - where does a civil matter fit when there is a DP case -
Judge - does it (DP) not need to be given special consideration

Judge saying "where do we go here? Court has to balance rights of litigants, public, defendants". Why shouldn't the criminal take precendence over the civil? What's more important for the system (and justice). Why dp cases are different - because they are the most extreme - does it need to be given special consideration?

Judge - is the civil process going to prove something that is fundamentally unfair

I keep losing the sound but it looks to me like the judge is leaning towards delaying the civil until the criminal is resolved.

Can anyone who is hearing this better than me tell me if that's what they are getting out of this too?

Could she prove your claims are untrue?
And can you actually harm her reputation?

Her defense in the dp case is taking the 5th. She can do the same in the civil case. She is comfortable in utilizing the 5th. We are gonna be asking KC to say "it wasn't her (zfg)"

I find this judge as hard to listen to as CA.........he doesn't seem to like the listening part of an argument. And I think he speaks condescendingly to everyone.

attorney for ZFG says if criminal case was 2 mos away they would say let's wait but it has been put off and is long beyone the 9 months (I don't completely understand that reference - but has something to do with a prior appeals court ruling I think) - ZFG att says ZFG deserves to get her trial regardless of how long criminal case is delayed

Her primary defense in the civil case is "I didn't defame you!" That lady in the picture is not the lady - I told the police it wasn't her. There is no unfairness to her. Judge saying it is a very different type of case (the dp). Judge saying "fundamental fairness".

Back to the topic at hand. I'd hate to see this case on a stay...it just seems to me that KC got herself in these messes and involved innocent people, they need to proceed.
