I can't can't can't find them

I am trying to help you but there are so many different pages on this case over there.
Did see this interesting rumour. Anyone here heard it before?

"Allison was apparently on tuckshop duty that morning at the school and overheard 2 other mothers talking about one of GBC’s other affairs that she didn’t know about."

I don't believe it, but it could be true MOO.

would make sense. she hears about it and fronts him when she gets home and ahuge fight arises and then it all happens. i have nthought all along that the death was a result of a fight they had. and here is a good reason for her to challenge him again

I would have loved to see that play. I have attached a link that will interest you. The Casey Anthony case will never be resolved IMO

Casey Anthony evidence never heard before

Very interesting. Haven't seen that Possumheart! I felt at the time that George lied about Casey leaving at 2 pm with Caylee....so I'm not sure what this means.

and Alicat...yes, this was the case where the Mum didn't report her child missing for a whole month, while she went out partying, and slept "played house" with her boyfriend.

In this case, I would not say she had a smart lawyer....he was a street fighter. He was literally learning on the job! BUT....and to our Kiwi friend's point, he was able to throw someone else under the bus....the grandfather (mind you, the whole family lied to protect her, even THOUGH they threw the granddad under the bus). It was sickening.

I have seen those comments over there regarding the affidavit, and they are very interesting, not sure where they came from though or if a link has ever been supplied.

I assume some comments regarding this have been removed here due to some parts involving mention of the children, well that's all I can think of.

I have read that site here and there but never joined as it seems all over the place and hard to follow, and things get very carried away at times it seems.

If it was because of mentioning the children, then fair enough, as far as I'm concerned

This is my first post. I’ve been lurking for many weeks – both here and on the Aussie Crims site (Baden-Clay thread). I have been absent for a few days and returned to both sites yesterday only to find the Aussie Crims site has been hijacked by the local chapter of the CWA (scones anyone?). Posts about shopping, cooking, cleaning ... I decided to abandon it when I could no longer hear myself think over the noise of knitting needles clicking, teacups being returned to their saucers – not to mention the sighs of despair that “poor, innocent” Max Sica had been wrongfully convicted. WTF?! So I’m happy to see that Websleuths is still a forum where sensible, productive and relevant dialogue still reigns supreme!

It is only when you visit THAT site that you appreciate what a good job the Mods do here! (that said, i was off topic for a couple of posts today...watch them disappear)

Hey Squiz, yes good point. I thought the haircut could have started the fight but he probably would have used anything to pick a fight. MOO.
Sad if this is true, that she knew she was being gossiped about : (
If you feel comfortable asking your "contact" maybe you could see if they heard this one?

Welcome and what weird timing.
I just gave up reading over there, they seem to get some good info but it's just too hard to find. So much so it's made me sleepy :seeya:

Sounds like you Sqiz and Greg may get along well ; )

Welcome Hope Eternal, and LOL at your first post

Don't worry, we're all pretty sane here, well for the most part anyway :)

Just a question for those legal minds out there. If a person is convicted and sentenced of a crime, what are the possibilities re appeal?

i.e. if verdict appealed, and original verdict upheld, I'd assume the sentence would remain the same.
BUT
if sentence is appealed, there is the possibility that the sentence could be decreased OR increased?

Is this correct - just thinking ahead - if GBC is found guilty and sentenced, and he chooses to appeal, is there a risk involved, particularly in relation to the sentence?

will check it out on the weekend and come back Monday av a good weekend all

I have wondered this too Laura. To me, she looked very shocked and numb walking out of that bail hearing. Shock that bail denied, or shock about some of the stuff alleged that has made her put two and two together?

Totally agree. I think Olivia would have known the chances of bail for murder were not good so I cant see that you would be shocked. But her look to me was one of being stunned as if learning something totally unexpected - I've seen the same expression, unfortunately, on people who have lost their job unexpectedly. To me her expression says totally blindsided. I suspect learning about the google searches, insurance phone calls and facetime call were the cause of this.

“On Sunday 22 April 2012, police obtained a further Forensic Procedure Order to examine the defendant with the assistance of the Forensic Medical Officer.

“Immediately prior to attending the police station for examination, the defendant was involved in a single vehicle traffic accident in which his vehicle struck a concrete wall at the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre.

Hadn't realised that he was due to attend for examination just before the crash. That seals it for me - guilty - so obvious he didnt want to attend and was hoping for some injuries to the face to explain away his injuries.
