I agree Bayside. Just sounds too out there for me.

We know they are not the smartest crims out there but this one is really pushing it lol.

I think by the times the phone was returned to the charger Gerard had at least 4 hours to clean up so would not be leaving it till the last minute and his father would not be there with him.

I believe the father and son car washing rumours are not the least bit true.

I'm with you on this one Bayside - we know they aren't the brightest, but that would be the most stupid thing to be doing after you have called the police and you are aware that they will be arriving at any time?!

Edit - just saw I'm not the only one who feels this way, sorry for repetition :)

I'm still so intrigued about the roundabout. Why were the police so interested and needing to question people who were on it that night?

If it is true that NBC was at the bus shelter near the village, then he would have been seen on cc camera so the police wouldn't need random drivers' confirmation of that. Also, the fact that at least local who knows him could verify it was definitely him, then you would think this aspect would be done and dusted in terms of verification (if this is more than a rumour).

What else was it that they were stopping drivers about? Do they really think a driver would remember if they passed a particular car on the roundabout that night - I admit I wouldn't notice at all, if they were just driving through and we passed in the night? I wonder if there really was something else bizarre that happened there.

And why, why the obsession with that roundabout....when the perp would have been better off taking RG Road... going round in circles and getting dizzy....

That's been one of my points from day 1 - WHY the Kenmore roundabout? And if NBC actually WAS there, then what was he doing there, and how did he get there? Where was that BWANAmobile? And how did he get home again? Did something happen, as you say - like a bit of a commotion at the roundabout that would have made people notice? If he were meeting up with GBC, why not at home (either his or GBC's?) or as I've posted before, if he wanted to keep his wife out of it - why not "Meet me round the corner from the top of our street" for example...?

And like you, I keep coming back to - WHY the Kenmore roundabout? It is not on the way to Kholo Creek from Brookfield, and it is not the quickest way from the BC house to the parents' house from there either - both would be along Rafting Ground Rd.

That, to me, is one of the big mysteries, about which the QPS obviously have some information that we do not have. Something that fits in with their theories as to what happened.

We will just have to wait for it to come out in court, I guess.

Thats a good point , big D, little i, big N, little ozzo! They are both a fair distance from GBC house, but its darker and scarier going along brookfield road.

but it was just a thought, as we have all assumed if he was at the bus stop he was waiting to be picked up, from Brookfield.

But maybe he was there after the fact, and waiting for old wifey/mother matriach to swing by and pick him up and take him home.
dunno, Dunnozo, just tossing thoughts around

minnimoo, I hope i wan't offending you! I feel like we're going in circles.Maybe he rode the :bicycle:

OT, my daughter just came home and said I needed to buy a Thermomix!!:floorlaugh:

what I find the creepiest....is when 543 uses the word "sigh" in a sentence, it made my skin crawl.....

I agree that is also why I think it is a female. But skin crawl is right. I may be totally wrong but it made me feel like they wanted us to think that 'ah if only you knew Gerard like I did, you would not be thinking that he could have done anything like this'. Well I for one certainly don't want to know him anymore than I do.

:floorlaugh:But really the BCsbeing the people they are (we are smarter than everyone else) would maybe have said, don't act guilty lets just be normal, and washing the car shows that we have nothing to hide, we can wash our car whenever we want'!!

you would never offend me...and did you like my DiNozzo quote, or didn't you see that episode???

Oh yeah you do!!!!! everyone needs one they are unbelievably good..and the healthiest way to cook for your family :)

re the buststop. it is such a bloody mystery..but it is important, no doubt about that

Was that round-a-bout that NBC was waiting at in the zone of the triangulation of Allison's phone?

I'm a bit confused about the request from a school saying the Dickie's need the white goods....what on earth did the Baden-Clays do with all the belongings from the house when they emptied it....surely they would let their granddaughters have what they need.....how selfish and horrible..... wouldn't the girls have a legal claim on the entire contents of the house.....how dare those <modsnip> force the Dickie's to need help like that.
Maybe the little girl's need legal representation against those <modsnip> IMO

Doc, its maddening isn't it?

I think I took up a good portion of an entire thread considering the why's of the roundabout. I asked every question I could think of but they all hinged on other theories being correct.
The reason I was obsessing over it is that, although WE know nothing whatsoever about the significance other than these few points:

a witness saw something odd there
a local residence reported something also
unverified talk of NBC being seen there
and a time frame given to us by QPS.

Still, the police have come to the conclusion that the guilty parties and/or the victim, have been seen in this vicinity. So the only real thing we can safely say is that the roundabout is extremely important to the prosecutions case.
I wish they would share :(

I can think of a few reasons why the Kenmore roundabout may be used as a decoy, the main one being that if Old Mate was asked to help hide a body, he might be worried enough to not want to take his car, for fear of someone seeing him driving or hearing him leave his house late at night.

The same could also be said for him not wanting his car seen at the Brookfield Rd house that night. Too much risk of someone seeing you drive there, park there etc.

If in fact it was true that he was spotted there by someone who knew him, he wouldn't have counted on that happening so late. There are only so many things you can anticipate in such a situation. If that is true, then that person supposedly gave a statement to QPS, which would no doubt get them going on anyone else who may have witnessed something/someone there.

We don't know, I doubt that there is very much communication between the two families. Very understandably so from the Dickies perspective. And also maybe tthe Dickies did not know at the time what they were doing, or may have had advice from child psychologist that having their old furniture back was not useful for them. Who knows, I'm sure the Dickies and Allison's siblings will do whatever is best.

Maybe the Bawannamobile was parked diagonally across form where the traffic cameras face ( in front of ReMax, and all those little RE agents ).It's that tiny little parking lot within the fork in the road if you were going from Moggill Rd, towards Brookfield and beared left onto Brookfield Rd. Y'all know the one. ( I don't think it has chains)

I'd say anyone in the area would notice if something was going on that night at the roundabout, it's not really norm for around here, not usually too much excitement in Kenmore. Dunno either. It bugs me too. I would have definetly gone Rafting Ground Road.

Maybe the cars pre- or post trip from Kholo (without Allison) included a drive to Taringa for some reason, or something else further out than Kenmore?

I wondered if perhaps NBC took the phone for a walk, went through that way to detract from the actual spot where it was left, got a little bit tired and sat down at the bus stop for a rest.

i'm wondering about the car @ showgrounds too. is there any spots that he could have washed it? could it have been left there purposely till very early morning so he didn't wake up the girls or other neighbours when he returned in the middle of the night? perhaps ABC voluntarily walked over there to get space after the argument and he followed her over there?
The mannequin was set up at the showgrounds, right? Why was it at that particular location, was it just because it happened to be close to the house or was there reason to believe something happened there?

I also wonder about the report that her car was in the Brookfield Showground. Had she parked there and been picked up by someone to go for a drive perhaps.

I know I still keep going on about the car at the show ground. The above were two posts, and only one of two posts in total by Mscactus.

Anyone notice how Kholo Creek was running today? My little creek was running, but observed carefully and concluded that there would have to be quite a 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 to keep a body (sorry)from catching on branchs and protruding roots, etc. Is little Ugly Creek relatively free of debris?

Getting back to NBC at the shelter and the fact that it is in full view of the cc camera - this means that the camera would have captured him getting there, and also being picked up or leaving on foot, wouldn't it? Would have been interesting to see how he left there - if by car especially.

Great thinking 99 that would be good if they did have footage!

I wonder if there are items from Allison's house that the Dickies do NOT want in their home when they relocate. For instance, I wouldn't personally want a washing machine just in case....you know....

From one of Makara's screenshots from yestday which I only managed to look at today you can see someone near some debris caught in some scrubs probably a meter or so up. Looks like rubber or carpet or something.

I lived for 20 years in Bardon and had the Ithaca Creek as my back fence, which comes of MtCootha. That creek could go from a trickle to a full wide ranging current after just a day or two of heavy rain, it would wash away logs and anything else in it.
