agree LM. bad misleading reporting without any knowledge of what happened. total BS and if it was true why has it not been mentioned since or in any other form, like court etc and defence lawyers.total crap

I've mentioned this before (Makara don't read...lol.)... but the way I take all those reports about the "walk" is that the journos most likely spoke to the different people, Allison's family & friends who were give the different versions which GBC had given them.

Four different "walk" versions were mentioned in the hearing. I'd say he did it deliberately to confuse everyone.

June 23, 2012

To some, officers say, he said Allison liked to take a walk early in the morning. To his sister, Olivia Walton, he allegedly described a particular route. He told a close friend of Allison's that she would walk at 10pm each night and he described to Allison's parents two different walking routes.

But when police asked, they said he told them he had no idea where she would have gone walking.

eeewwww I think I just did a little vomit

on the subject of the senior BC's - I was looking at some photos and a video of GBC going to get photos off the computer at the Police Station - NBC was right there 'shadowing' him - ?making sure he didn't fold and confess ??

I think in this photo he was a little bit hurt because his daddy couldn't go with him...lol...

If a picture tells a thousand words I think this is around the moment when he knew his pile of fit hits the shan & knew he was done & dusted...

prefer my chances of being paid by the Newtton than the BCs:what:
I used to date Chris Murphy back in 1982. He was always a perfect gentleman.
And I am sure the Newton's will be paying Matthew's legal bills.

I'm pretty sure some of the first articles and TV news reports stated GBC 'said' she went for a walk the Thursday night around ten, then we got the footy show stories, then the morning walk.

All the confusion just stems from all the BS he told numerous people I think BJ

Yep! Baffle them with BS when the truth just won't do!

I hope you are right, but I dont think lawyers get sick of this sort of thing as a case this big is literally free advertising, the lawyer Chris Murphy never seems to get sick of representing Matthew Newton :-) Totally different I know, but you can see what im getting at. Lawyers think they are way smarter than those on the public purse and if they think they can get him aquitted due to no hard evidence beyond doubt etc, then they will hang around and gloat and get a bunch of clients out of it and then they will take their cut out of the commonwealth compensation he will be paid if he is aquitted or the movie or book deals that will follow. Sadly, infamy is the new celebrity these days. The world is becoming a weird place, hence shows like "the shire" that aired here last night. I cant fathom any of it. What I call shocking and disgraceful, others call entertainment. His legal team will definitely hang around for this, but that is just my opinion, I dont have any insider legal goss on it.

Nobody I know likes The 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬, I mean, The Shire.

So with the Rayney trial in Perth, are they trying it in Perth, and is that where Mr Rayney was a barrister? Hope he doesn't get off just because of the people he knows. It's already suss enough that he got bail!

I believe they have brought in a Judge from another state, NSW I think.
(Can't supply a link because I heard that on the radio)

Nads, this is a good link, its a sad and sorry affair and its really does run parallel with this case in many ways.

p.s I am sure I read its been an issue because of all the people not only he knows, but his wife knew too?

I dumped him!
I rang him 9 years ago and had a long chat....I think there are alot of ex's, although he did remember me.

Corryn Rayney worked in the courts too so who she didn't know, he did. They brought in a judge from NT and a NSW prosecutor to ensure it's tried impartially.

Possumheart, the link I sent in earlier (previous WS page)goes into that. Also has links to other relevant and interesting links.

Yes he was/is a barrister in Perth and yes the trial is in Perth with an interstate Judge, no jury.

Do not have a good feeling about this one, just hope justice will be done.

lol. The thing that got me is that a judge came out of retirement to hear the initial parts of the case. What the? That seemed odd to me.

No doubt part of QPS strategy, but reasons are not clear to us.
NBC/EBC code of silence won't work if they are called as witnesses at the trial of GBC.
MOO

I think this is it in a nutshell (as to why no accomplice arrests yet). They sure are between a rock and a hard place aren't they - my heart bleeds.
