So in the Rayney case, there is a judge-only trial, interesting. I wonder if he's already getting preferential treatment, with that, and getting bail as well.

In terms of the daughters, the accused might have said something to them like "I've seen heaps of cases where the police want to get an arrest so they plant evidence and make up things". Then the daughters may not ever believe anything. Makes you wonder how their relationship is now with their mum's family.

And it's interesting that we only hear the cause of death now, five years later, at the beginning of the trial

OMG...I am FINALLY catching up again. I went to Sydney for a few days and had internet problems and got so far behind I despaired of ever getting to chat with you guys again!

All my questions re the phone got answered while I was away...fantastic....thanks everyone! I'm still unsure as to what happens to phones when they get wet. I "think" that if you get them thoroughly dried out first (open them up, dry them) and then charge them it's ok, but if you turn them on when wet they are ruined?

and the article about the murder in Sydney - North Curl Curl. I grew up right around the corner. So I understand how the locals feel in this case. It feels weird to know this can happen in an neighbourhood you grew up in and feel was relatively safe.
