I've started a few posts on this, but deleted them all. I too stand up for the few of these great men. They are out there, and I am very lucky enough to have married one. I often think how naive so many of us are, marrying at a young age. It's hard to recognise what's important. We try to instill it on my kids. Sorry to repeat myself, but it's important, and it is not off topic. Respect. Allison did not have this in her marriage. sad.

Agree entirely Dunno. I too married very young the first time with no idea what is important. And I too now have a wonderful husband who does not "suck" in any way.

So sad for Allison that she did not live to experience such a marriage

1. Publishing matter likely to prejudice a fair trial

Hi all you friendly people, I love being on here, it's so interesting! When I posted my theory about packing the lunches I may have mislead you. What I was trying to put across was the glad wrap theory, which really is quite horrible but as I said, glad wrap is a plastic, designed to keep air out. My point was, that is it possible that The murderer got out of the shower, walked into the kitchen and saw the lunches being made. The glad wrap would be on the counter and glad wrap is just as lethal as any other type of plastic because you can't breath through it. I know this sounds horrible but if somebody did pick up that glad wrap box to use for that particular purpose then a struggle would have ensued and the serrated edge of the box would be quite capable of causing a cut to the palm of the hand due to the pressure applied. This would also leave the victims hands free to fight in those first moments. This is just my imagination working overtime on too many coffees, but it is possible. Absolutely not fact, just another possibility. Cheers to you all.

Warrgghh - what about those husbands who do NOT suck, who are NOT having affairs, and ARE good providers? Us poor blokes are taking a bit of a hammering by some generalizations going on in here recently....

I'm going to have to stand up for all blokes who are loving husbands, do the right things, and even take the rubbish out regularly. And load the dishwasher and empty it. And do the washing. And are thankful for the underpants fairy who mysteriously replenishes the stack in the drawer....

My boss is a wonderful man.....sometimes not sure who works for who!!!!

I agree Doc...there's a lot of good husbands out there. I think the good far outweigh the bad.....it's just we usually only get to hear about the bad in news/media....that applies to not only husbands...wives, kids also.

Oh No....DrWatson.....I'm so sorry....you're correct....I had the gentlest father and two wonderful grandfathers......a great brother-in-law...a spectacular son-in-law....2 perfect grandsons lol....a crap husband...but the kindest partner..(who is heaps younger than me) :blushing:...been together 8 years...who make's me laugh and takes the bin out etc etc....

It's just having had a monster for a husband who was capable of doing what GBC has been charged with and reading about the violence to women and children I guess I and other's become outraged...and need to be reminded, thankyou.

My hubby is not having an affair and he has never in 8 years made school lunches,he works so is never able to participate in school activities and will cook dinner only occassionaly. I guess I married a real man. As for getting up in the middle of the night nope he doesn't do that either. You ladies are lucky I guess. Or do they do these "super men" things to alleviate their guilt??

In case you're wondering, I came up with the glad wrap theory after I read the text message. That message would have been fine on any other given day but this was not a normal day. This is supposedly a man, very concerned for his wifes welfare, so much so, that he called 000 shortly after. I'm sorry, but that is not the kind of text you send to someone you are about to report missing. A normal text in that situation would go something like, "Seriously concerned. Will be phoning the police if i don't hear from you in ten minutes." I truly believe that the message sent was relevant to what happened on that night. It may not seem relevant to us but for some reason it was quite relevant to the person who sent it. Hope I haven't confused anybody...I usually only confuse myself! Cheers and please remember that this is not fact, just my opinion and nothing more.:banghead:

Yeah good point. My husband sux, at least he's not having an affair :floorlaugh: but he does love us all and is a good provider.

My hubby has never made a school lunch, he has back when the kids were very little managed to open a can of something and dish it up a couple of times when I was late home. In 20 plus years my hubby has never cooked a meal for us, he doesnt even man the bbq haha.

When the kids were little he always helped with nappy changes, getting up in the middle of the night and soothing crying or sick kids. He also used to pitch in around the house and help with what was needed.

The stage he is at in his career now mean he works long hours, a 50 hour week is a light week lol. I work an ave of 3 days a week so have a lot more time at home to get things done so these days he does nothing around the house. My hubby is a neat freak, I am a slob but I keep the house the way he likes it so he is relaxed when he comes home.

My daughter and her husband divide the work load pretty much down the middle. In fact I think her hubby cooks more than she does but he is a chef. Her hubby makes lunches and so does she and they always do it the night before because they both work and mornings are crazy town haha.

Different things work for different families, if my husband and I both worked the same hours I would not be doing the majority of the work .. trust me haha.

Yep I agree about the texts...was a weird way of attempting to show concern. Very interesting about the glad wrap theory....maybe the blood in Captiva leaked from in between the wraps of the plastic if he'd wrapped it around her head...horrible to think about it though.

Now there's an interesting theory indeed. Smothering by GladWrap (clingfilm for our overseas friends). And I wonder if Allison still had clingfilm on when she was found??? Was that what the police hinted at when referring to the way she died being fairly immediately obvious?

And yes - the edge of a GladWrap container is very sharp and serrated and can indeed cut your hand, especially in the palm when the box is being grabbed.

Maybe you've hit on something that bears further thought there, Littlethings.

Could also explain a chipped tooth, if knocked hard with the metal edge of the box....

It doesn't explain Allison's blood allegedly found in the car, but it could feasibly explain the apparent cause of death - which would still need to be confirmed by autopsy. And the cut hand. And possibly the chipped tooth.

Hi Doc, Yes, I have thought about the blood. Here is my theory on that. If I was going to place a corpse in the back of my car I would lay something down, such as a tarp. I would then go about getting the corpse into the back of the car which would take quite a bit of moving about. What if I had the victims blood on me, even a tiny bit, on my shirt for example. Whilst I was moving about my shirt could come in contact with the area near the wheel hub because that is the area i would be in. Could the victims blood have been transferred from me onto that surface? Of course I would have covered the front seat with something so I wouldn't have to worry about that area but I would definitely have come in contact with the wheel hub area, leaning over, etc. Could that create a blood smear? What do you think Doc?

And on top of all that Doc, you are really dilligent in answering the miriad of questions posed to you in this forum. You truly are a legend.
I also work 60, or mostly 70 hours a week (staff on both sides of the globe) but if i had to concentrate as much as a surgeon....wow....no WAY could rock into this forum with your amazing sense of humour.

BTW, my son is very domesticated...hope a nice girl finds him soon.

and to the poster that asked if we would still be here in 3 years...hard to imagine, but certainly the Casey Anthony case kept my attention for that long. The difference is that we had so much open information at our disposal.

This forum will be rejuvenated when QPS are ready to divulge what they have on the perpetrator(s). In the meantime, it's still nice getting to know each other.
