Thank you very much for this alioop. It pretty much puts paid to my theory that QPS may have placed the Captiva at or near Kholo Creek using onboard GPS. I sincerely hope that there was an add on GPS system. QPS must have very strong evidence to have charged GBC with the interference of a corpse at Kholo Creek. It's one thing to be able to state that the vehicle was there, it's quite another thing to prove that GBC was the driver.

You are welcome Makara. Maybe placing GBC at or near Kholo Creek is a combination of evidence such as his or a similar car being sighted and pings from his mobile phone tracking his locations than night.

Makara, whilst the hand rumour has stretched far and wide, I agree it is probably just that...rumour. BUT, when I consider it to be possible, and then consider the comments regarding no visible injury, it at first appears not possible. But, the fact is, if her hands were removed, they were removed after death, post mortem.MOO

wasn't the statement that she only had a chipped tooth referring to her injuries related to cause of death? because at the end of the day (in fact, the 11th day, you could say) she most certainly would have had a lot of injury to her body. I wonder whether any damage (man made or made by the elements) that occured to Allison's body post mortem was disregarded by the defense in their statement that she only suffered a chipped tooth?

feel like I have said this before

Minni, my impression of Davis mentioning the chipped tooth was in relation to the blood in the Captiva. Didn't he say something about a chipped tooth would not cause bleeding? He also said that there was no proof that the blood in the car was Allison's. :banghead: I'll have to go back and find exactly what he said in relation to the chipped tooth.

When it was first mentioned here that Allison's hands were supposedly missing (big hugs to Possum, I remember you being sooo upset) I immediately thought - decomposition. IMO the whole 'hands being removed' story is a rumour that has almost become fact to some.

Also in relation to Hawkins comment. I'm wondering if he may have been referring to the advanced state of decomposition as well prawns etc. that had degraded Allison's body to the point of being unrecognisable other than by dental records?

I'm assuming that photos of Allison's body may be tendered as evidence when this case goes to trial. Those photos would be terrible for jurers to look at. I certainly would not want to see them. It was difficult enough for me to do the sceencaps of her body under the bridge.

MOO.

Yes but what's to say that he was with his phone?

True, but that is what circumstantial evidence is I thought. When all the circumstantial evidence is put/linked together, there is no other plausible explanation. This is what the judge said in the Sica case from my recollection of media reports.

I assumed the Prado was driving into Brookfield. I don't think rumour specified? (I'll do a search next).

Remember that young reporter asking Inspector Ainsworth, in the media conference on the day the body was found, about GBC seen driving home (?) in a car at 11.30 at night - he got wrong the make of the car?

Sorry for quoting myself but just wanted to add that having thought about this further I realize the above timeframe - Prado seen driving around 11 pm on Brookfiled Rd - doesn't fit with with my previous theory that NBC was in the car with GBC - the Facecall where they prob arranged to meet took place later at 12.20 am.

Gerard Baden-Clay has emotional reunion with parents

July 27, 2012 6:44PM

The 41-year-old was reportedly tired, teary and gaunt-looking after losing a lot of weight since being arrested on June 13 and charged with murdering wife Allison and interfering with her corpse at Kholo Creek in Brisbane's west, which is 14km away from the couple's Brookfield home where she was last seen alive.

Baden-Clay is still prohibited contact visits at Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre, where he's been placed in a protected cell, and was forced to talk to mother and father Elaine and Nigel, and friend Rob Cheesman through a wall of glass when they came to visit him on Thursday morning.

It's understood he has also grown back the beard he was forced to shave for police as part of a forensic order.

All conversations on the phone or in person between prisoners and visitors are monitored by Queensland Corrective Services officers and can also be recorded, except those with the prisoners' lawyers.

Yes I agree alioop but the Defence will argue this. I hope and pray that the Prosecution has a lot more up their sleeve to prove that GBC was there. Flora from the Kholo Creek area, shoe prints matching GBC's or even a very sick little caterpillar. :what:

I can't remember that sorry, but I do remember a reported asking Mark A about the car being returned home at 11 or something that same night? MA did not. it was clearly news to him. In fact, I think he said, 'news to me' :what: just remembered that as I typed it
