Don't want to rain on your parade MW, however the whole CM drawing of mummy in a heart was with a reddish brown pencil. The hair colour at the wedding (in the same compilation of pix) looks pretty red tho...

Yes in many of Allison's photos she has red hair. In a couple of the drawings it shows red & yellow were used...so perhaps she had blonde streaks added that night at the hairdresser.

When exactly did TM wake up and realise that she was being played for a fool and a convenience by GBC? I think she had a fair idea from the start of their relationship and IMO she's as bad as he is, they used each other. She wasn't so much upset over the revelation of GBC's other affairs, she was more concerned about her own arse being connected to this despicable murder.

Personally I can't wait to hear what she reveals on the witness stand when this case eventually goes to trial.

Couldn't agree more ;)

Also can I be so bold as to assume the move to Brookie isn't an actual relocation for the Dickies? They must just be living there temporarily since they required washing machine and other furniture, goods etc.. If they moved surely they'd have all that from their Gold Coast home.

I'm sensing its a temp move in order to maintain custody of the girls, as the BC's would've stated their location to school/dancing as grounds for seeking custody for themselves.

Hiding behind daddy perhaps? Or is it mummy's skirt he's put his head into? Just like a naughty boy would...

Whilst majority of people focus on NBC, I have always felt EBC was indeed 'head of the house'. I beleive IMO she is the leader of that family not him. I believe it is her delusions of grandeur that have resulted in the men of the house (Adam excluded) being propped up into beleiving they are kings. If anyone is the teacher of manipulation for some reason my gut tells me its her.

GBC has been refused bail and I can't see any changes to that happening. There would only be more evidence against him being added to the growing evidence pile as time goes on. His lawyers can apply at any time for a fresh bail hearing but they would have to show new evidence that strongly challenges the evidence presented at the bail hearing by the prosecution. So I think that is unlikely if he is responsible for Allison's death.

So he is in remand until the results of the committal hearing sometime next year to determine if there is sufficient evidence to send him to trial. My thoughts on what we know about the evidence are that he will be committed to trial. Then he goes back to remand to wait for trial, which depending on the effect of a new Supreme Court judge being appointed to speed up the trial list, could be 1 to 3 years away. There are plenty of accused persons in remand ahead of GBC waiting in line for trials. He won't be given priority, he will be treated by the legal system in the standard manner.

So in my opinion GBC is not going anywhere for a couple of years at least. As to custody issues, I was interested to hear the rumour that that the BC's aren't allowed any contact with the girls. I think that the police must have had something to do with this and may have made a submission to the Family Court about their concerns re the BC's or at least one or more of them having some involvement with Allison's murder or coverup of it. They may have just said something like"we are still investigating the possibility of the BC's involvement and believe they should not be allowed contact with the girls as they are possible witnesses"

One other thing I have been thinking about is the second charge of interfering with Allison's body and taking her to Kholo Creek. If the QPS charge someone else who they think assisted GBC with the moving of Allison's body then they could charge that person with this same charge. Keeps the charges consistent and easier to present and prepare evidence for either a joint trial or separate trials if the other charged person or persons request a separate trial. If there were to be separate trials, then GBC's would go first and the outcome of it would determine if the prosecution proceeded with the second trial.

Thanks for the info alioop....your first paragraph ties in exactly with what was reported after he was refused bail....

If unsuccessful, the accused can apply again at any time but his lawyers must show ``a substantial change of circumstances, for example, the case progresses in a way that shows up glaring weaknesses in the prosecution'', Mr Browne said.

Also, in that same report it mentions "new steps introduced last year"...I'm wondering what that's about...

While courts were ``mindful of people being in custody'' in scheduling the long line of hearings, murder cases generally took 12 months to three years to conclude, from charges laid to a Supreme Court verdict.

But new steps introduced last year by the Queensland judiciary to speed up the first phase of such cases through the Magistrates Court could cut this time, he said

A belated congrats to you Marly :D

As usual I get so behind and can't catch up, but it's getting easier with this being slower now!

I know that we're not allowed to talk in rumors, but is there any more local information available? Also is TM still in 'hiding'?

I will look into this and report back. I think it is to do with procedural changes such as limiting cross examination of witness at committals and better case management leading up to committal.

Does anyone know for certain if the BC seniors applied for custody of the girls? Has there been a link at any stage?

Fred, not that I've seen in my 'scrolling life'.

If they (the BC's) have applied for custody, it would have been behind closed doors and we would not be privy to such info via msm. The press would have a gag order on them by the courts in relation to anything to do with the children - of that I am sure.

Skull manor is not the place for innocent minds. IMO

I disagree. The Dickies probably own their home and the Gold Coast where they retired too, and that's why they've left furniture like fridges etc there. It will make a nice place for them to escape Brookfield and take the girls to. With everything they've been through the last few months, I'm sure nobody would expect them to sell their home as well.

Hi Observer, your comments about EBC are pretty strong and I have no idea if what you say is true. What is your basis for saying these things? Do you know the family?

Marlywizz (and I hope you don't mind my little nickname for you), I have had a look at the reforms called the Moynihan Reforms, which were made law in November 2010 by legislation called Civil and Criminal Jurisdiction Reform and Modernisation Amendment Act 2010 QLD

They are intended to "deliver key efficiencies and improvements to the QLD justice system". One of the implementations is to reform the committal process to try to speed up that process.
Here is a link to the explanatory notes to the legislation if anyone is interested in the detail.

Thanks Shelbinator...much appreciated :)

Not heard a peep about TM for quite some time.

Katie, I wasn't suggesting that they should sell, just agreed that maybe they had advice that the best way for everyone to move forward is for the girls to get back to what they know. I think, the Dickies are absolutely amazing given what has been thrown their way. I thought in the email it said that somebody local gave them a house in Brookfield to use, not that they were selling?

I still think it was strange she didn't visit GBC when NBC and OW did they would surely have allowed three visitors as they have since

I thought it may be useful to put links to the criminal code definitions of the 2 charges against GBC.

Murder charge sec 302

Interference with corpse charge sec 236
http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/legis/qld/consol_act/cc189994/s236.html

Also one more for interest.
Accessory after the fact to murder sec 307 ( note life imprisonment the same as murder)

That's the one we want to fall now, Section 307. Clock is ticking...

Thanks Alioop. :gthanks:

I think I saw NBC and EBC yesterday down near our local shopping centre. We are nowhere near Kenmore, being in the inner Northside, but I am positive it was them. They were on foot, waiting at traffic lights and we were in the car. It was him that really stood out to me at first - quite tall, and just looked exactly like him. The woman looked slightly slimmer than some of her photos, but it looked very much like her too, even down to the polar fleece vest. He seemed to almost have a limp, walked very slowly when they crossed in front of us.

I could be wrong, but I sure took a huge double take. I had the crane neck totally going on lol, my partner must have wondered what the hell I was looking at.

Where has everyone gone this week? It's getting very lonely in here.

Come out, come out, wherever you are!

I couldn't agree more. If mummy was the matriarch she would've been there to make GBC stand to attention at the first opportunity. We all know that there is only one bwana. Bwana-ess isn't in their dictionary.

IMO.

Maybe he hurt his leg at Kholo creek in April - he also 'stumbled' in the infamous 'granny pash' video if he sprained his ankle on the night/early morning of 19/20th April and didn't have it seen to he could still be limping
