New evidence. 6 species plants found on her. Only 2 found at kholo creek but all found near back patio at their house.
Remember the little dog 'Scraps' barking incessantly at the back fence bordering BC rented property.

Mr Boyle said the pathologist indicated the possibility Mrs Baden-Clay sustained a subdural haemorrhage, a chipped tooth and bruising on her interior chest wall, indicating an impact on the chest region of "a mild degree of force".

I presume that the "interior chest wall" is where the reporter misheard - I'm pretty sure that would be ANTERIOR chest wall. Which means the front of the chest. A blow, kick, or being struck by something significant (or a bridge railing, or landing on a boulder, for example) could do that.

Depending on the distribution of that bruising, being restrained by somebody else's body weight could also do it.

He said the pathology report indicated strangulation and smothering were also possible causes of death that couldn't be ruled out.

...........exactly what a lot of people here already thought that he sat on her chest and choked her to death.

Or a knee on a chest doc?

CM Blog update...
4.16pm: Mr Boyle said there was a significant new piece of evidence, which strengthened the Crown's case, based on expert analysis by a botanist.

He said the botanist examined leaves and plant material found on the arms, around the head and body of Mrs Baden-Clay and only two species were native to the Kholo Creek bridge area.

He said all six species found on Mrs Baden-Clay's body where found in the garden on the family's home at 593 Brookfield Rd.

"In my submission that would fly in the face of a suicide theory," he said.

Mr Boyle said there were "rivulets" of blood in the Baden-Clay's car, that if found to be Mrs Baden-Clay's, pointed to the Crown's theory that her body was moved.

BBM.

I was of the understanding that the blood in the car was found to be Allison's. :waitasec:

Or a knee on a chest doc?

Yes - that's why I stipulated that I'd need to know the distribution of the bruising before being able to say that, but definitely a possible cause.

"Mr Doyle said Baden-Clay had a 'find my friends' application on his phone but at 6.41am on April 20 it was "likely it had never been used".

Justice Applegarth: "It would be a pretty stupid thing to say you had used that application when you hadn't."

Mr Doyle said that although Baden-Clay was willing to proffer a greater surety to secure his release on bail, it would not necessarily reduce the risk of flight.

"In my submission there has been no material change in circumstances and secondly he has not shown cause as to why his detention is not justified," Mr Boyle said."

“Justice Applegarth taking 30 minutes to consider the application. Possibility it will be a reserved decision.”

... and she scratched his face, under his arms and his chest. This shows that she was alert enough to inflict defensive scratches, that she fought for her life IMHO.

And you were right all along Doc. You said from the start that you believed Allison was dumped where she was found. What made you come to that conclusion?

Actually I said that I thought she was dumped where she was found...Doc Watson thought she was placed in Little Ugly ck.

It will be good to hear some more details when this gets to court. MOO of course.

And if I knew how to use this app on my iPhone I would've BOLDED this one sentence:

And you were right, it would seem, C&P. In my post just after Makara's above, I've said that I thought she was dumped into the end of LUC. It would seem not, but I still think that the car may have driven into that little parking area, and instead of pushing her down LUC bank as I suggested, he/they could have just gained access to underneath the bridge from there.

I have a friend whose property runs down to little ugly creek and stops at the car park (where the wire fence is) and they are certain she was dumped at the bottom of their property....which means she was washed just around the corner to underneath the bridge.

I think they mean reversed not reserved.

Except that from what Danny Boyle said today, it would appear that the water level was below where she was found, and she had been in that position from very soon after death. Not 11 days later....

Sheesh - we really need a full confession, don't we? ;)
