Hmm just on the photos - looking at the house - I would say no internal stairs.
But not sure about the contour of the back sloping as much as the front. But the lattice work lying by the back door is visible in the whole house pic its just difficult to get and idea of the vertical height between the lattice work and the far end of the house where the air con unit is. And is that unit half way up a wall?

Hi Enthralled. I had this problem, if you refresh your screen it will fix it.

Does anyone remember the talk of something being under the car in the carport in the police photos of the home?
There was a poster adament about fluid under the car?

Just testing your memory guys. Just wondering if it is something that is now relevant.

I also still believe Allison was strangled lying in bed, the bruising on her chest was from his knee. The scratches were from Al fighting back.
I believe there was an arguement about TM that turned violent, perhaps started outside but I don't think it ended outside.
Perhaps Allison felt confident in her last hours and hopefully she got to tell him what she really thought of him.

This is my theory, all my own opinion I'm throwing out there.

Yes I remember this, they seemed certain it was coolant.

If the radiator was leaking the police would have taken note
Clunk clunk clunk - pieces falling in to place
I remember that photo it certainly looked like something other than just water

CC do you think someone changed her clothes afterwards?

Well he did describe in great detail what she was wearing - my husband wouldn't be able to .....

Wasn't there also reports of car or cars parked at Brookfield show ground in the early hours that day (?cleaning) or have those reports been discounted?

I am fairly sure that those claims couldn't be backed up at all. Will have a search.

I am starting to think Allison's car would have been left at Kholo Creek if there was an accomplice and the intention was to make it look like suicide. So once again turning it over in my mind and getting frustrated!

I tend to agree with quite a few of you that Allison was most probably pinned down by her assailant with a knee pressing down on her chest. I agree that this is the most likely scenario. A little OT, but I found it interesting:
Lawyer Margaret Mifsud who is believed to have been murdered by her former husband died from “traumatic asphyxia” after she was pinned to her vehicle’s seat.

In this particular case above, Forensic Pathologist, Dr Scerri said there were no external signs of violence on the body except for some blood which had run out of her right nostril and flowed in an upward direction settling near her right eye.

Thanks Cyansea for that link. There are a lot of eerie similarities to Allison's death , same date 19th April, possible knee to the chest to stop her breathing, she lying down (this poor lady was in the car seat) and the blood from the nostril that flowed backwards.

Insp Gundry confirmed that when Ms Baden-Clay was declared missing, her car was still on the family property.

I interpret this statement as meaning when the police showed up, the captiva was at the house and nothing more. They didn't know where it had been before that but they already knew that GBC had been out driving the captiva earlier that morning as he told this to police.

I wonder if there was no intention to make it look like suicide or at least that was the last "plan". If it was then the obvious things to do would be to leave the captiva at Kholo to make it look like she drove herself there and also to tell the police that she was very upset. He did tell them that she was depressed but that he didn't think she would kill herself. He could have told them a really good story about fighting over his girlfriend and she taking off in her car distraught that he was going to leave her for Toni. Perhaps he realised there was no point in doing this as they would have found her quickly because of the car and her injuries would have been inconsistent with falling from the bridge, eg signs of strangulation.

I agree Curious. I believe that Allison was murdered in her bedroom. It may have been on the bed, the floor or even the ensuite. <modsnip> IMO she was either lifted or dragged out through the back door and loaded into the back of the Captiva, already parked in the carport. Vegetation from the back of the house would have clung to her hair and body while this was happening. After Allison was loaded into the Captiva I believe that GBC then phoned the clan. He needed someone to be with the girls while Allison's body was disposed of. And IMO he did not do this alone. It's my belief that two people were involved in the disposal, GBC along with either NBC or OW.

Irrespective of where in the house Allison was murdered, the girls must have heard the argument between their parents and this disturbs me greatly.

MOO.

I agree Alioop. The same logic would apply to Allison's phone. If GBC wanted it to look like suicide, why not either leave her phone at home or near her body? Instead and IMO, he or another clan member made sure the phone was nowhere near where Allison's body was disposed of. I also believe that the phone was moved from one location to another during the search for Allison.

At the outset I believe that finding Allison's phone was crucial in finding Allison. Once she was found, the phone was not of such great importance. IMO the Police would have sourced the logs for the phone and now have everything they need. Fingerprints that may have been on the phone IMO would be irrelevant. Any number of family members may have touched the phone, prior to its disappearance, including the girls.

MOO.

This is the photo of the Captiva that appeared in MSM. I've enlarged it for a closer look at what is on the ground under the front end of the car. Your guess is as good as mine as to what it is. :waitasec: Some thought the green stuff may have been coolant and I initially thought that the darker spots may have been blood. It's more likely to be oil though. I'm wondering if the underside of the Captiva was damaged in some way on the Thursday night/Friday morning?

My wheel arches and wheels are NEVER that clean -on a new car (up to 3 months at least) the brake powder would still be clinging to the wheel rims - so I am guessing had to be given a thorough clean that morning. The green spot looks a bit like a leaf tho
