Yep, threw her phone away somewhere in the Figtree Pocket area and then threw herself off the Kholo Creek bridge. Sorry, it doesn't work for me. :twocents:

No Total BS eh

But wasn't it established on an earlier thread that the phone could be connecting with the Fig Tree Pocket phone tower and still be between Brookfield and further out? And your certainty about the way she was behaving is not really consistent with what may have been happening in her head given all the terrible things that were happening in her life. People don't always behave rationally predictably in these awful situations!

Can you state a few more details with regard to what you are suggesting:
e.g.:
. how did Allison arrive at the position under the bridge - 15kms distance?
. Allison's choice of Kholo Bridge?
. why a loving Mother would not leave a message for her daughters?

It is quite bamboozling that his clever Defence Lawyer would put suicide forward as a suggestion ....... can't understand how he wouldn't see that suggestion as bizarre, given the distance from her home and the fact that a vehicle wasn't parked at the Kholo Bridge.

I'm living up to my contrarian nature! Just imagine for a moment that Allison did indeed commit suicide...maybe she threw her own phone away???

I've thought of that scenario myself along the line we need closure very soon &
No squizz not BS! Any thoughts are good thoughts thanks. :fence:

and another question....why did GBC decide he needed to create "Bruce Overland" if he was innocent of Allisons fate? Surely he could have communicated with his "friend" without hiding, and telling her he needed to lay low?

I personally believe Allison met with foul play.
However I do agree with you about nobody really knowing what goes on inside the head of a person committing suicide. They're certainly not themselves at that time, not rational at all. You can never compare how a person 'normally' is with how they are in their darkest times. .

Perhaps one possibility for the use of 'Bruce Overland' could have been to hide the ongoing nature of his affair with TM because perhaps it could be possible that his family and friends thought that the affair had ended 6 months before?

The possibility of the phone being connected to FTP tower whilst still being in the vicinity of the 150m search area in Brookfield was discussed in earlier threads, but we were unable to establish whether it was actually possible or not.

I was guessing someone might suggest it was just to hide the affair, but really, who looks through your emails? Why would anyone have ever found out what was in his personal emails to TM unless he was investigated AND charged with murder and then the email got published?

If he was truly innocent, except of adultery, I dont believe anyone needed to find out about the adultery. People dont get tried and hung for that these days. The police would not have persued him had this been all they unearthed in their investigation of him. IMO.

Well, I can't provide a link - but from personal experience; when I began to have suspicions that my (now ex) partner was having an affair, I looked through his personal emails. In fact I went through anything I could find like a crazy obsessed lunatic! I actually found a hotmail address in 'a name other than his' in the end. :)

So are you saying his parents would have gone through his emails after Allison disappeared, to see if they could find any dirt on him????

Or are you saying the alias was created before Allison disappeared?? (if so, I can see where I was wrong. I thought it was created in the days immedaitely after her disappearance. Sorry. )

...door to door canvassing required to see who owns a thermomix - those things will pulverise anything in less than 10seconds flat!!!!

hahahaha love it - a Thermomix recipe for Cactus iPhone Salad

No, I wasn't suggesting his parents would look through his emails.
But we don't know when 'Bruce Overland' was created.
I don't think it is that uncommon for people having affairs to come up with sneaky ways (like making up names and extra email addresses) to make contact with the person they are having an affair with.
So, I was saying that there is a possibility that the name 'Bruce Overland' was created prior to ABC going missing and there is also a possibility that he continued to use that method of contact with TM after ABC went missing too. :)

Added: I also don't think it is particularly unusual for people having affairs to hide the fact from their family and friends - for a whole myriad of reasons. Not least that they might feel compelled to tell the spouse!

Having an additional email address from hotmail, yahoo, gmail or something like that is hardly going to deflect people snooping on your emails. You might feel safe in terms that 'its not my name on the email' but seriously anyone with a brain would ask why does Bruce Overland need to read his emails on GBC's phone and PC? GBC phone and PC are his domain. When he looks up these BO emails it will still be in his history usage of the internet ( or phone). I doubt GBC used a different PC to access his BO emails - he would have wanted to do that when he had a quiet moment to himself in the office or car.

Totally agree. I found the hotmail address by going through the browser history. But you have to be suspicious in the first place to do that. Prior to my suspicion, I would never have done that. I may have gone through a 'normal' email account occasionally if I was looking for a copy of an invoice or contact or something that I needed immediately and my partner wasn't there - but i would never have even thought to snoop in things before I 'heard' from a friend that there might be something going on!

GBC may well have had the Bruce overland email alias for a long time, maybe for years even before he started his relationship with TM.

Yes, I thought it was said that he had used that alias to correspond with TM before anything of this even happened. At least that's how i read it when it was first mentioned yonks ago.

Absolutely agree that given GBC's history and extrapolating from those facts TM was not his first Mistress - she just managed to get the long term gig and she was obviously not his last as MSM have definitely stated that there were others.

I think Allison was pretty astute - her marital relationship was deteriorating in front of her eyes despite her best efforts at salavage and I would say that before snooping out her hubby (-I personally think she would have given GBC the benefit of the doubt)-she would have asked him and he probably admitted part of the story as a narcissist does - change his history for the purposes of the situation.

His need for the BO alias was completely selfish to feel he was distancing himself from the situation. That he felt safe, in control and was not detectable. And that Toni was comfortable writing to him without undue stress.

Yes that's correct...

Police allege that Mr Baden-Clay stayed in contact with Ms McHugh after Mrs Baden-Clay's disappearance, using a pseudonym "Bruce Overland" in emails.

Investigators contend that the pseudonym was used by the pair and submitted an email from April 3, 2012 at 5.40pm where Mr Baden-Clay, allegedly as Bruce Overland, wrote: "I have given you a commitment and I intend to stick to it. I will be separated by July 1" and went on to "state his love" for Ms McHugh.

Police investigations allegedly found Mr Baden-Clay had "extra-marital affairs with at least three women" since 2008.
