Allison Baden-Clay - GENERAL DISCUSSION THREAD #43

i think there was a man too who saw something not right at the roundabout and he also reported it to police?
Could it have been those alleged cars/vehicles parked on the side of the road? Possible round table conference about where to dump the body perhaps?
Just speculating.

When I am driving in my car with my daughter, and she is using her iPhone to connect to Facebook, Instagram, whatever, her connection to the internet is listed as one, i.e. I might be driving several kms around or even to the Gold Coast, but it does not show later as many different connections (from tower to tower). It only shows as one connection to the first tower the phone connected. It is possible, IMO, that ABC's phone pingged to the first tower and indicated an internet connection of 13 hours, but the phone itself may have been moved in those 13 hours.

A very good point you make there, Fuskier - that most people are assuming that the attack on Allison by whoever did it was a single event. But looking at the times of screams, yells, phones going on charge, etc etc - it is entirely possible that they had a screaming match/fight first, then something else happened - either Allison driving off (roundabout??) and possibly returning having cooled off, or being pursued (roundabout??) - and THEN another fight that resulted in her death.

Just another among a list of possibilities - good thinking there!

Yes especially if there was violence the first time and she was threatening to go to police . I've always felt that there was a reason why he had to get rid of her that night . She knew something ? She was going to tell

Yep, that's what I thought too CC, but I think QPS would have obtained more data from Telstra than just the details that show on the phone bill. That's why I asked DocW because I thought he may have seen that extra data and I haven't (and probably wouldn't understand it fully if I did). :)

The Telstra records suggest that it stayed connected to the FTP tower the whole time, RLTP.

Yes - a metal detector would pick it up - and there were a bazillion of those being used by police and SES who combed all over that area in minute detail. They also had an army Blackhawk helicopter using a "pinging locator" to try to pinpoint the phone - but failed.

Allison's phone was, and remains, a huge mystery to me. Even worse than the roundabout... ;)

Thank you. much appreciated. :)

Very good point CC. And yes, my iPhone does the same thing - the Telstra bill only logs the initial cell of contact.

But the data in the phone records from the affidavits, provided by Telstra, as I read them, suggest that the phone simply remained connected to the FTP tower the whole time - which is the way the judge interpreted them also at the second bail hearing.

But of course, your explanation would make everything much simpler - and be much more consistent with Allison's phone being somewhere in that gully behind the BC house, despite the intensive search having failed to find it.

And I'm all for keeping things simple wherever possible. I must have another close look at those phone records, especially now it has all been posted on WS by Marly.

I dont think she did.. she really thought he was a hotshot, she never even saw herself as one of the factors in the business breakdown. He got away with being very devious in not showing the partners the money trail, so I dont think he would have shown , or told, Toni. no.. she was in the dream!... I imagine she gave him advice on how to handle these upstart business partners on how to handle their money.

She was probably valuable to Gerard in this particular way. She never seemed to question the money stuff.. a lot of other things, like when are you leaving her? where will you live when you leave her?? how can we make custody week the same for the two of us? ... it must have been a relief to have Toni only moaning on about these trivial matters, since everyone else on Gods earth was questioning him about the money.

Sticking my neck out, I wont be surprised if Toni pitched in some large chunks of money at some stage...and all this debt stuff, these infuriating partners who told her how it was , what Gerald is, made not a jot of difference.. He was going to marry her, and that was that. Nothing seemed to register, not staff leaving, herself being fired, business partners leaving with unseemly haste, him actually not leaving Allison, but talking about it, him having to get into Bruce Overland mode, him screaming and crying at Fleggys secretary, all the tattletale telling that went on... Jocelyn would tell Toni, Toni would tell Gerard, Phil would tell Toni, Toni would tell Jocelyn, Jocelyn and Phil would roll their eyes and shake their heads......... .noooooooo....

noooo..its amazing how a repulsively yellowjacket can seem like the garment of divinity and uprght manliness and business savvy to a certain eye.

He was, and probably still is, ( such is the determination we all have at times to just not get it, ) all the Forty Kings of France rolled into one for Toni. .

BBM:

According to TM's statement(s), she never loaned GBC money. The reason she never loaned him money (according to TM) was that GBC never asked.

Ain't love grand!

MOO.

One of the reasons I am convinced she did, because, old cynic that I am , I just dont think love was all that was in it for Tone.. she had that air of ownership of Gerard... the kind of ownership one gets when one buys someone, ..she had bought and paid for a marriage to a double barrel name, good AU dollars, on a rising dollar value, and she wasnt getting what it said on the tin in return. Not only wasnt she getting from the tin what the tin claimed, but Allison was getting what she saw as the lions share of her goods. She had the receipt, too.. all those emails and skypes etc. She had no trouble flaunting this purchase. Of course, I think Gerald wanted to be bought, too.. it was almost a perfect match.

even if she had to do all the prompting, and hiding, and lying, and organising.. even if she had to advise, intruct and guide Our Boy, she thought it was worth it. But even love has a deadline, doesnt it? July 1st. Money does also tend to have deadlines... 'I've made that committment, July 1st' the solemn Bruce Overland intones to Tone. ....

OMG, to me it sounds like he was almost flirting with Dr Candice Bevan. The hide of him handing over his business card and saying he might be able to help her with her looking for a place closer to work. Didn't even appear distressed???? Mate, your wife is missing.... oh that's right you already know where she is. don't you?<modsnip>

IMO I agree with you. And I agree with you after reading the statement from the Financial Planner, where two things leapt out at me:

1. Allison's life insurance was overdue by 6th April, and would have lapsed if not paid by May 21st
2. It was Allison who was making the proactive moves to attempt to streamline their insurances, and by that time, Allison's email signature was 'General Manager' of Century 21 Westside

IMO Allison was becoming increasingly aware of the financial buffoonery that was going on. I will say no more.:silenced:

Just a warning, I read the documents. The autopsy report is very very disturbing. Make sure it is something you want to have in your mind forever. I suggest it may not be appropriate for some. Though I hope whoever did this has these horrid images in his nightmares.

Also, I specifically remember seeing a photo of the back entrance of Brookfield Rd. home. It had a pile of new mulch near the back garden/drive. I only saw the photo once, but I recall thinking fresh gardening.. hmm.. maybe gloves/shovel/ Does anyone remember this photo. will search.

A new patch of sunflowers opening in my garden today! Maybe a sign from Allison.

It IS very disturbing, isn't it!! There may be some people only choosing to read so far.
Problem is 'whoever did this' won't have seen her in this state, so I hope he gets a good idea of it at the trial.

Well, now I'm confused again! TM's statement indicates the girls were NOT at home that evening, but staying with Nigelain, and GBC took food for them that evening. So, which one is it: were the girls home that night or not?

My reading is that he picked them up at his parents house after work and then took them home.

In addition to the documents now posted on the bail document thread, there are more documents available from the court if anyone wants to purchase them, filed by the both defence and prosecution. I have previously posted the list of documents filed in the second bail hearing and the process to order them but if anyone wants a reminder and suggestions which ones to order let me know. There may be a lot more interesting info in them, I don't know as I haven't seen them. The ones now posted are documents 13 and 17 on the file summary below. As you can see there are more docs available.

I also read it that GBC picked the girls up from the BC's. If you refer to Allison's phone record, page 3, you'll see she phoned her home landline at 6:26pm - duration 0:01 second. She probably just got the answering service as GBC wasn't home. Allison next phones GBC's mobile at 6:27pm - duration 0:21seconds. Was she letting him know that she was on her way home from the hairdresser?

You'll see in Allison's phone record that the last call she made (or that was made from her phone) was on the Thursday night 19th April at 8:28pm, and that call was made to Olivia Walton!

Note: All notations on the phone records were in place when I received them.
