The plot thickens! So Sue Heath is now Fleggy's former lover and secondly, she is going to recant her statement to the CMC about what Flegg was really up to within the LNP. It makes me wonder just how much truth there was in the evidence they both gave at GBC's committal hearing? Was it peppered with half truths and omissions? And to think that GBC had possession of that phone with the taped calls stored on it. Gawd he missed a golden opportunity to obtain a 'loan' from Flegg didn't he?

"Swap ya the phone for $400,000."

Then again GBC probably knows plenty about Fleggy's dealings within the LNP, much more than any of us at first realised.

Oh Makara, you are awful :floorlaugh:

You don't just jump the fence to any neighbour and ask for a loan of $400,000, so why did he ask Flegg?

The most you should ever ask your neighbour to loan you is a cup of sugar.

I think GBC probably just asked Flegg for the loan because he was the wealthiest mate he had at the time. Flegg's not in the Clive Palmer arena financially, but he's pretty well off IMO.

Sorry, but this is the best link I could find without being able to use Courier Mail links;
"Dr Bruce Flegg is the richest MP in the state". Read more here: http://www.goldcoast.com.au/article/2009/12/19/171271_gold-coast-news.html

I had a dream on Sunday night that I found Allisons phone in Brookfield. The dream hasn't left me yet. Clearly I'm over-thinking this case????

Where did you find it?

Wedged behind the minute hand of a huge clock at the showgrounds. If only it was that easy!

Presumably it must have been a second hand phone... ;)

Sorry - couldn't resist. :rockon:

Eeek - but time (Culture Club) is a whole lot better than a second hand lover ------who asserts that he will 'never' let you down (Jon Ralston)!

(A bit too esoteric methinks!)

OT:

I've created a new thread for a FANTASTIC new TV show coming to Ch10:

[ame="http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=212655"]Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community[/ame]

http://ten.com.au/tvshows/wanted.htm

Just a heads up that there is a new Tv show coming to Ch10 - Wanted. I'm guessing it's like Australia's Most Wanted. Here's the promo:

'Wanted will air live from TEN’s Sydney studio, using social media and dramatised reconstructions, from cold-case murders to major assault, missing persons, sex crimes, cybercrime, scams and criminals on the run.'
http://www.tvtonight.com.au/2013/06/ten-gets-wanted.html

Can't wait!!! :dance::dance::skip::dance::dance:

From what I an remember of the promo there is an element of interaction in this upcoming Channel 10 crime show - something about "you can solve help this crime right now". I got the impression it was something more than just giving out the Crimestoppers number for people to call with info.

Driving home yesterday, one of the prison vans was next to my car, but then pulled up to top of the lights, the driver of car it was next to looked over to it, then leaned right over, put the window down for a bit of a sticky. I immediately thought 'you should join websleuths.'

A consultation paper released by Legal Aid Queensland (LAQ) reveals too much money goes to big cases, such as the trials of convicted killer Max Sica and former Bundaberg surgeon Jayant Patel, and changes were needed to keep the system sustainable.

Accused wife killer Gerard Baden-Clay has won Legal Aid funding for his case and will hire a private solicitor and a barrister to try the matter. It is likely his case will be expensive.

LAQ has its own lawyers, however, the private bar provides about three-quarters of legal aid services in criminal law matters.

Most of the funds paid to the private bar are fixed. However, more complex cases incur higher and negotiated fees.

Has GBC ever paid for anything in his life? Seems like he is the ultimate free loader all round. Now it is the tax payers who foot the bill for his defense. They have a lot of hurdles to get over, but remember justice finally prevailed in the Sica case, although I think he has filed an appeal. No wonder there is no legal aid funding for those who really need it. Here in Melbourne, we had Antonio Mokbel funded by legal aid, yet he ran a million dollar drug operation. It beggars belief!

One thing I dearly want him to pay for is what he did to Allison!!

A memorial is being constructed near the Kholo Creek Bridge It looks like it will be an engraved Sandstone monument. I was hoping it would be finished by Monday for Allison's birthday.

Who funds and organises such a monument?
