In hindsight P Tully was on the mark when he posted on the 6th June 2012.
Indooroopilly Station did explode into a hive of activity some 6 days later.
Interestingly Flegg gave his ammended statement on the 6 June 2012
and Ms Health gave hers on the 12th as we know the day GBC was arrested.
Oh!! I do think that one or more people were before the star chamber.
This could explain the emotional stress that GBC was under requiring the arrest to be moved forward as reported by the media.

I'm just wondering, most reports I've read about Allison since 2 yrs ago, LE have stated her cause of death is unknown due to decomposition etc? I'm hoping this isn't the case. :please:

The Singh murders in Bridgeman Downs where the reports said the same but after the trial of Sica, their cause of deaths was revealed in the news and in which order they died. But initially, it was said that due to being submerged in warm water of the spa etc, cause and exact time of death was unknown.

So the police keep many details to themselves to help convict the perpetrator, who is the only one who really knows the full horror of what they've done. jmo

Yes the release of information is rather cryptic and I think that is exactly as is intended.
I also find the statements to be cryptic they give a snippet of info with room to question further.
In the police statements for example - I spoke to Sgt A and we said things.

Makara, wasn't it Townsville that they visited OW in the days preceding the arrest?

Yes it was Townsville. Sorry. I knew it started with a T. I think I should shut my mouth until my brain is in gear! The pain medication isn't helping!

Makara, I hope you feel better soon. Please don't shut your mouth. You are a highly valued member of this forum. So easy to get the two places muddled.

Paranoid of an angry mob I wonder? Worried about 'messages' being hung on fence or a drive-by egging? I think it's speaks volumes about BC clan mindset at the time. They thought media were picking on them too before heading off on holiday. If all above board & innocent, why worry about GBC's rental? It's a good area - the flowers that adorned the front fence line were a testament to that. Why would home security even enter NBC's head? Aren't there bigger things to worry about (ie funeral, well being of your grandchildren, what the future holds in general). Why the fear of backlash? I think they were reading some of the angry sentiments posted in various online forums or maybe feared amateur sleuths would come investigating (or media).

How long was GBC's house taped as a crime scene? If so concerned about security NBC/EBC/OW could've slept over... unless there was a reason they couldn't stomach sleeping there?

MOO

Camp Chair, I think you've hit the nail on the head!

Hope you are feeling ok tgy :hugs:

Can anyone hazard a guess at what NBC actually meant when he texted SH about government protection, protection for G's vacant house etc? What exactly was he expecting ...? Seems very bizarre to me.

Nothing bizarre about it, Thinking. Protection needed from caterpillars.

One thing that has intrigued me (well, one of many) is the note Plains Clothes Constable Kellie Thomson mentioned in her statement. Why was this note so important? I hope that it will be included in the trial exhibits.

10. When I walked back into the dining area and sat down at the table where I observed a purse and a number of Suncorp credit cards spread over the table. Below the credit cards was a number of pieces of paper and I moved the paper so as not to place my book on top. As I moved the paper I observed a note that was handwritten which appeared to have been written by a child.

11. I then had a conversation with the defendant about the note which was recorded on the digital recorder and the defendant informed me that the note was written by his daughter Sarah that morning.

12. I then seized the handwritten note.

13. I am able to produce the handwritten note that I seized from the kitchen table of 593 Brookfield Road Brookfield with Property Tag P1200161454. Marked and tendered........

Does the address 18 Oldfield Street or Place, Brookfield ring any bells? I remember one of our sleuther's asking about this same address recently. I know I've seen it written in a document somewhere but I can't find it.

The reason I'm asking is because this address is mentioned in Kellie Thomson's statement.

35. On the 21st. day of April 2012, at 11:35am, DSC MCLEOD and I attended an address in 18 Oldfield Street, Brookfield and spoke with the defendant.

I had a look on Google Maps and found Oldfield Place, Brookfield. Have a look where it is! It is in very close proximity to the intersection of Rafting Ground Road and Winrock Street. The same place where Nigelaine was apparently seen sitting in their car.

Who lives there and why was GBC there? I find it odd that the police would visit GBC at the home of someone else. Why not ask him to attend the station or meet him at his parent's place?

Makara said in an earlier post - The police must have suspected TMH was involved. Why else would they go to the trouble of electronic surveilance.
I find it interesting that the police told GBC that they would want to speak to TMH TODAY

I am assuming they must have phoned GBC given they attended 18 Oldfield Street to speak with him. I am guessing they didn't say, and then will collect your razor, go for a drive to the station and seize your phone.
In statment - TMH said the police arrived a short while after GBC phoned at about 9.30am.
Kellie Thompson statement - we arrived at 18 Oldfield at about 11.35am.

So it appears that both GBC and TMH were with police when those last 2 calls were made by GBC.
IMO electronic surveilance may have been as rapid as the initial response.
Particularly given find my phone had a mind of it's own.

Oppps I misread what you said Makara but the next post seems it was Toni's address?

Makara great info in your post GBC's calls to TMH.

He must have be desperate to talk to Toni because according to Kellie Thompson's statement.
Points - not quotes
On the 21st April 2012 at 11.35 am
* Dsc McLeod and I attended 18 Oldfield Street Brookfield and spoke to defendant.
* Whilst at this address- tried GBC's iphone to contact Allison's phone - unsuccessful.
* McCleod, Thompson and GBC attended Durness Street Kenmore
* On arrival we had conversation with defendant. He walked inside and returned with a razor wrapped in plastic.
* We proceeded to Indro Police Station.
* During the trip we asked a question - his reply "I have been advised not to answer"
* McLeod had conversation with GBC about his mobile phone.
* Mobile phoned seized at 12.12pm
So those last 2 calls he made to TMH were while the police were present.
IMO that 11.41am - 57sec may have been made while wrapping that razor in plastic and knowing he was off to the station.

Very intriguing. They took Cheesman's computer. And a black mask from Brookfield Road, the mind boggles!

This wording is bizarre.
She said the show was "totally normal*" and had the same atmosphere as previous years.

The Sunday Mail was this week told police seized a third car relating to the murder of Mrs Baden-Clay.

It is understood the car was seized for mechanical examination by the Forensic Crash Unit after Mr Baden-Clay crashed it near the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre bus terminal on Sunday, April 22.

The car, a friend's vehicle, is believed to have been handed back to general duty police.

*LOL, word most over-used by GBC and OW

Have never seen that car described as 'relating to the murder'.

I'm just so struck by how many secrets are woven into this case.......may the trial shine a huge spotlight on them so that they are finally released into the light!!!!

I've got a feeling that 18 Oldfield Close was TM's mother's place.
