Police renew appeal to find Allison Newstead’s killer 25 years on

POLICE will on Friday renew their appeal for information as the 25th anniversary of a notorious Cessnock death approaches.
Allison Newstead, 17, was last seen by her parents in October 1993 when she left her Cessnock home bound for a cafe.
She was reported missing the next day, Thursday October 7, after failing to return home.
A week later, police searching an abandoned colliery in Pelton, eight kilometres south-west of Cessnock, discovered her body.
