I beg to differ. I honestly don't know who did what but Ramsey did say "we kicked the bottom of the door" indicating he didn't do that alone. When did he say Cordero ran back with his tail between his legs? I must have missed that. Since Cordero is capable of doing interviews he shouldn't have any problems voicing his own truth. Regardless Ramsey kicked the door or not, he did make the 911 call being recorded and played many times on TV.

I believe both men did some parts to help and at this point I really don't care who did what. The most importantly thing is that two civilians stepped in to help and release four lives from hell. That, we have something to celebrate![/QUOTE

I think I have a final solution to this non issue.
When people are in "crisis" there is so much adrenaline pumping often people can not remember all the nuances of the event . Often the events of the situation are completed by information gathering from everyone involved, including bystanders who are watching.
This whole block was was involved , including the woman who put her household at risk and provided a safe haven for AB to call 911.
THE WHOLE BLOCK SHOULD BE CELEBRATED AS NEIGHBORS WHO RESCUED THEIR OWN NEIGHBOR. HOW NEIGHBORLY IS THAT!!!!

It takes a village......

1> The brothers were arrest on open container violations.I assume when the police entered the address or AC names in their computer they must have found the outstanding warrants on the brothers. They have been released and found to be uninvolved in this tragedy.
2>She died in 2012. Their have been reports of brain cancer/tumor. NO reports that it was from her head injuries sustained by AC. But yes,I thought the same thing the tumor could have been secondary to the years of head injuries. Although, no evidence. It would be a good thing to be forensicly investigated. If clinical evidence could be found,he could be charged with the appropriate felonies
3>First in the basement , then upstairs. Sometimes n the attic. A couple of times in the garage.
4>Unemployment
5>6 years old. She was born on Christmas day.

Thanks- I did see articles saying though that there had been thought to be a connection between injuries sustained from abuse and the tumour -her brother said this, will find links http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ife-2005-beating-kidnapped-OWN-daughters.html

Also regarding income, there was his part in an inheritance or am I wrong?

I have a feeling that the three girls (ladies) will be compensated. I sure hope they will.

California to Compensate Jaycee Dugard With $20 Million

That settlement was for failing to properly supervise a registered sex offender. To my understanding, Castro was not a registered sex offender, and he was not on probation for anything. So I would not expect to see these girls receive the same compensation. Though I'm hopeful they will receive something. I think what ever they receive will have to come from private charitable contributions.

Forgive me for asking--I've skimmed this whole thread, but I can't find the answers I'm looking for.

1. I have not heard much at all about the two other brothers. Are they involved???

2. I understand that Ariels' wife passed away a few years ago of an inoperable brain tumor and this tumor is related to him beating her??
Did she live in the house, too???

3. Have I missed details of where they were all held in the house?

4. Ariel hasn't had a job for quite some time, how did he earn money?

5. How old is the little girl? Is she school age yet?

There is no link between trauma to the head or falls as a cause of brain tumors. However, after trauma to the head or a fall, a CT or MRI scan of the brain is often ordered, and then, a previously undiagnosed (pre-existing) BT is sometimes discovered.

CONCLUSION:

Head trauma may only have caused small and preexisting quiescent tumour to grow as a result of predisposition to fall by musculoskeletal incoordination caused by the tumour itself.

I am not sure what kind of brain tumor she had, but I wouldn't be so fast to rule it out.

"We report one case of brain glioma that developed in the scar of an old brain trauma. A 45-year-old man who presented with seizures; MRI showed a large mass in the right temporal region. Surgical biopsy showed a glioblastoma multiforme. The patient had suffered a cranial trauma in a road accident 10 years previously with an intracerebral hematoma in the right temporal region. This case fulfills the established criteria for a traumatic origin of brain tumors and adds further support to the relationship between cranial trauma and the onset of glioma. As stated by other authors, an association between head trauma and brain tumor risk cannot be ruled out and should be studied further."

After the fiasco with Anthony Sorrel, who was found to be a serial killer on the East Side of Cleveland, there will be a huge investigation on how CPD handles the cases of missing women.
Many people reported missing women around Sorrells home and the smell coming from his house. The missing women were written off as drug addicts and prostitutes. There was no investigations in most of the cases. There is a direct correlation between the economic demographics of Sorrells and AC's neighborhood, the gender of the missing, the mishandling and lack of investigation, the presumption of troubled lives and the multiple reports and lack of follow-up of tips. Witnesses also issue the same complaints of calling police and no reports were written. There seems to be evidence associated with missing women, poverty and police action in Cleveland.

Therefore, these women may very well be compensated. The same reports, lack of investigation and gender exists in these cases.
An investigation into the practice of LE in regard to missing women can only better serve the City of Cleveland and the US as the whole contry watches the handling of this case.

The inheritence was 250,000 dollars split between his brothers and sisters. I think their were six. Take off 35% of their portion for inheritance tax. It wasn't very much.

In a CNN video with Anderson Cooper, Martin Savich (sp) pointed out that AC always entered the house from the back and had blocked off the backyard to prevent seeing into it. Although many of the windows of the house were boarded up, so were the windows of adjacent abandoned houses. There's no punishment legally available for what this demon did. The prosecutor says he'll use AC's diary along with the girls' statement and charge him separately for every day they were there and for every offence.

Diary, nice. Hopefully he kept it up to date and complete, so they can maximize the charges.

I posted the name wrong. Anthony Sowell.
Also, apparently their was a panel convened to investigate an improve the way CPD handles sex cases and women.. That was in 2008. Five years later their does not seem to be an improvement.

Therefore, Pay the Women..

You can not generally sue police for not solving a case. Or they would be sued all the time. Jaycee Dugard case is different because that offender was on parole and should have been monitored. Ariel Castro was not on parole.

Anyone know if there's truth to Michelle's mom hiring a lawyer because she can't see her? I just read it on a celeb gossip site ran by US magazine. Sometimes they're right but they are mostly wrong. It's interesting to see the photo of her mom though...

How would that lawsuit work? Michelle is an adult, if she doesn't want to see her mother she doesn't have to.

In what ways have you seen Angel's story change? I don't know who to believe but it's obvious that one of them is lying. I don't know what Amanda has told LE about the rescue and who was involved. Obviously she didn't know either man by name, she can only tell them that a man kicked in the door and led her across the street to safety - Charles says he's that man, Angel says he is. Who knows? I hope it's not the case, but I'm afraid that Charles is duping the media and the public.

Would it be possible to not argue about which person helped her most? They were both present, they both helped her, enough said. Charles Ramsey has never claimed that he did it alone.

I have no idea, I'm not a lawyer. I'm just asking a question.

Not sure about unemployment, but he did receive an inheritance, which is when he started offering his girls gifts and buying them cell phones, etc, as mentioned in an article quoted upthread.

See Charles Ramsey's thread. Will your opinion change if you learn that Charles has changed his story to say that Angel (who he calls "the Domincan") refused to help?

this thread is devoted to the young women who were kidnapped, held captive and are now freed. As you say in your post above, there is a thread for discussion of Charles Ramsey.

according to calculations from previous message, that it was split 6 ways and minus 35 percent it comes to 27,000 or so...

This guy is exposed as more sadistic day by day. How sadistic is that for him to memoralize his actions in a diary. Really.
Also, did he suffer from Napoleon syndrome? He appears to be only 5 foot 3 in by his mugshot.
He was so misogynistic. <modsnip> I know he reports of being raped by his uncle, which I don't doubt.

Enough to buy a whole bunch of cell phones.

The mother proves herself to be more and more ridiculous. She has no legal claim of visitation with Michelle. She is an adult who is now proving she can make appropriate decisions as demonstrated by her unwilliingness to interact with a mother who provided her "a beautiful childhood." (sarcasm)
