Amber Alert HOAXES

As someone who cares deeply for those who are missing, and those left behind to search for them, such a Hoax is heartbreaking to me. As someone very wise once said, "every missing person can be verified, period".

One of the hoaxes is for Penny Brown, she is NOT missing.

I didn't see anywhere that these were Amber Alerts. It seems that they were hoaxes through the email. If they had been Amber Alerts there would have been information about the kids...for real...and the LE would have been tending to the whole thing. I wish they would catch the original people who started the emails. Jerks should serve some jail time.

Bumping up this very old thread, because these hoaxes are still floating around and being forwarded via email. I wish people would take the time to forward the LEGIT missing people. It's not as if they couldn't use some more publicity.
