How many times have we all heard someone say, "I never watch the news, it's too depressing"?

Personally, I only turn off cable news at 2pm for General Hospital, then back to cable news. Actually my daughter who turns 25 next Mon.( she has 7 days for her brain to finally mature, counting down the days:happydance: posted about it on her FB and said she was worried. So I know she's following it.

My older daughter might have very slight info. about this, but gee what does it have to do with ME? snark intended:laughing:

Press conferance on CNN now.

2 men dropped dead on the street in Africa, no one would take them to the hospital.

"Both men had shown symptoms of Ebola such as bleeding and vomiting before they died but scared locals had refused to take them to the hospital, she added."

"Information Minister Lewis Brown confirmed that the bodies had been collected, although he said they had only been there for a few hours. "I can confirm that the bodies were in the street. They have been removed," he said on Sunday."

Good for them but think of all the people at the hospital now exposed to it. At least it sounds like it doesn't take long to know if they have the ebola virus. Regular hospitals aren't equipped to deal with it. I guess if they have it they would be sent to one of the four hospitals with isolation units. Nearest one to NYC is in Maryland.

Respectfully, as those 6 people tested negative for the Ebola virus, it would seem there was no exposure to the general public. We still do not know if there has been exposure with the patient currently being tested at Mount Sinai in NYC. All MOO, of course.

The man arrived at Mount Sinai's emergency room early Monday morning with high fever and gastrointestinal symptoms, the hospital said in a statement.

Just watched the press conference. Dr said they could find out if it is ebola by tonight or sometime tomorrow.

Seems to be a lot of contradicting ms media reporting on the ebola topic. Guess, if you distrust one networks transparency, and truth in reporting, ya can just channel check, huh?

We are discussing separate incidents though, correct? There are the 6 people who sought treatment on their own within the U.S. and tested negative. Those 6 people did not expose anyone. Their locations within the U.S. have not been released, that I have seen. Then, we have the patient at Mount Sinai who is currently isolated. While officials have stated they suspect this NY patient does not have the Ebola virus, I do not believe the test results have officially been released.

All MOO.

Diagnosis
Photo of an ambulance in AfricaDiagnosing Ebola HF in an individual who has been infected for only a few days is difficult, because the early symptoms, such as red eyes and a skin rash, are nonspecific to ebolavirus infection and are seen often in patients with more commonly occurring diseases.
However, if a person has the early symptoms of Ebola HF and there is reason to believe that Ebola HF should be considered, the patient should be isolated and public health professionals notified. Samples from the patient can then be collected and tested to confirm infection.
Laboratory tests used in diagnosis include:

Early data suggests that while the transmission vector has gone airborne, infection rates remain relatively low. Though this is expected to rapidly change as the virus quickly adapts to spreading through this new method. - See more at: http://nationalreport.net/ebola-mutation-confirmed-airborne/#sthash.FWQrFtTZ.dpuf

Respectfully, isn't the National Report a political satire website similar to The Onion?

This is from their legal disclaimer page: (BBM)
In order to be in compliance with the Federal Communications Act and The Barack H. Obama Administrational Oversight Panel On Media Matters, The National Report officially states its purpose as an online portal for general news and commentary from its staff, citizen journalists and other sources, and may include unconfirmed or satirical material.

It appears they have removed former active links which directly stated they are a satirical political news site. Also, I don't think there is a Barack H. Obama Administrational Oversight Panel on Media Matters. IMO.
