American made 737-800 disintegrated upon crashing Russia -62 dead

ATTN frequent flyers!!

In the old days they just "topped her off".

Now forget it - fuel is heavy and lugging around all that impacts fuel burn.

Now days its calculated to death!! They do your flight - diversion airport distance - throw ya an extra gallon and your hopefully on your way !!!!!!!!!!!

I am wondering if the diversion airport was two hours away or so. In America IMO no plane would circle for two hours- costs way to much money!!

These days.........................

That struck me as it was breaking ...who holds for two hours......................noone!!

I believe it costs them more money to divert. Once they do that, they have an entire extra flight to bring the plane back to where it should be, plus an extra takeoff and extra landing. Thats doubles the cost for fuel. Plus they have to provide hotel rooms for the passengers and crew. It’s way cheaper to stay in a holding pattern for a couple of hours.

I have never been on a flight that was diverted. About five times I have been on flights that were put in a holding pattern. At least two times for more then two hours. One was a one hour flight, that turned into a four hour flight.

I do hope that today's awful events in Brussels. Doesn't put this awful tragedy on the back burner. So many lives lost in just a few days.. heart breaking 😭😭

They do not do it that way anymore, if its a weather diversion well your f$cked

flight planners normally wish to minimise flight cost through the appropriate choice of route, height, and speed, and by loading the minimum necessary fuel on board.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flight_planning

Unfortunately, travelers on U.S. domestic flights don’t have many rights. In fact,U.S. airlines have no legal obligation to provide delayed passengers with compensation. This includes vouchers for hotels and food.

Europe is better than USA but your fu$ked

The runway looks to me like it is covered with black ice, with lots of charred debris on top. The area beside the runway looks like the snow is melted (probably by the fire) and the vegetation is burned, and covered with charred debris.

IMO we just cant do 9 feet of some blackness - when the second video showed a nuclear explosion!! look at it again, it look like a 40 mile radious -- on an aircraft that has a range of 5.7 hours

she was almost out of fuel , yet we have an entity that is nuclear

IMO it BS - that is why its black and white -- it is stock footage from some missle that went out of control and crashed !!

It had no fuel left - from manufactors specs linked earlier --its a machine! And not a long haul aircraft 6 hours pretty much max

take headwinds, horrible weather that just increawe fuel burn - its like cruise control --having to keep adjusting burns more fuel

a go around that is about slamming the throttles open once , and then doing it again , what kind of mileage per gallon would ac ar get if for two hours you havve to keep messing around with your throttles ?

and then hyptheticaaly going down and on some grainy b/w video with static ,
IMO its a crock from some 1950's stock footage

imo its nonsense --leaves 12 feet of some organized snow that is black for 12 feet

I have never seen an impact going that fast nose down that can leave a nice orderly 12 foot area of blackness

from the second video windows should have been been obliterated, cars should have blown up!!

People on asidewalk within 42 miles should have been incerated to death, emergency workers should have not been able near the inferno for half a day with the intensity of the second video.......

There should be not one piece of wreckage where the logo on the plane is readable by colors

the flight recorders are in the back , right where the thing supposedly snapped and blew up and there is no soot, while the one recorder is fine, its shape has not been altered, it too has no burning

a completly undamaged runway? all the snow never melted and refroze after the inferno on video two ?

The first video there would not bew a "shock wave " where the camera at least shakes a dash?

The first video lets say it was like a strip mall, it had cars in the pics, none said any debris dented my car?

No storefront people said I found a safety card on my front door?

Noone said there was mud all over my parking lot?

A tree did not move??

obserd imo

any reports the next day from anyone that was in the area of the first video. What did they hear, think experiance?

Any reports of dogs going nuts after a nuclear explosion?

ANy reports about some power outages ?

Anyone report not being able to get to work the next day cause cause there was debris blocking passage?

Anyone report secondary fires as the sky blinds one?

ANy seismic reports from earthquake people around the globe?

Any water breaks?

Telecommuniocations interuptions?

Any secondary deaths> The area was just of void of humans?

What about some dead racoons!! Anywhere.

It just exploded with a ferocity that was blinding and nothing else was impacted or affected?

Not being snarky!! What is this sh#T b/w cameras. After seeing this I am calling fake. Buildings near there would have been obliterated

It looks like a nuclear bomb guys!!!

Windows would have been blown for a 425 mile radious!!!!!!!

The video has been removed by the user.

I want to see the crater the plane caused! Pictures tell stories better than words. . .well, at least sometimes.

Is Russia allowing any outside parties into the investigation like Boeing, NTSB etc? I must admit I don't trust the Russian government but I hope the truth comes out about this accident so we can learn from it any take any appropriate measures if necessary.

Great video.

You can see the flame on the plane still near the front of the plane well before it crashed.

This has me more convinced than ever this plane dropped out of the sky as it was very high up in the sky. There is no way it was coming in for a landing and clipped a wing or anything of the sort.

WTH are they trying to hide?

This video does seem to match the other video which was taken from across the road where we see just the end of the crash. It had the same steep 75 degree angle.

Something is not making sense with the story we were told versus the video of it going down.

Here is my theory for now. Russia is embarrassed that yet another incident caused one of their planes to go down and they want to not make their people panic or get mad at them. I think some sort of fire happened on the plane engine area shortly before landing while the plane was still rather high up in the sky. Once the fire happened then fire consumed the engine and the plane dropped like a rock out of the sky.

I am not yet sure what caused the fire but I am pretty darn sure there is a fire in that engine well before it goes down. You can see it here but the other video you can see the flames on the plane much clearer before it crashed. Whether the fire was caused by a engine malfunction or a bomb I am not sure. Something is causing those flames.

I don't see any wing clipping the ground unless that happened well before and maybe the plane flew back up with the fire already started by the wing skipping the ground. I suppose that is possible.

The one thing interesting is notice how they cut off the video at the start.
There is no reason they could not have included more of this video at the beginning. It is obviously a recording from afar and they have more video before. I think they dont want to include it because it shows it was much higher in the sky before it nose dives.

JMO on all this.

Not a Russian made plane (in fact American made plane). Airline is flydubai, an airline out of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Not Russian. Pilots weren't Russian either.

Thank you for the update. I didn't realize it was a UAE airline. I keep seeing articles that say Russian plane so probably bad reporting. I guess just because it crashed in Russia then the Media assumes everything was Russia about it.

So Russia really should not feel responsible in any way if it wasn't even their pilots or airlines.
