Andrew Mcauliff was last seen leaving his home on foot in the area of the 400 block of White Oak Lane in Lake Barrington two weeks ago.

I think I understand now why his parents might have remained quiet. Based on his criminal history, in my opinion he may be dealing with some mental health issues. He damaged over 100 cars at 3 separate car dealerships and is grinning proudly in his booking photo. Lake Barrington man charged with smashing windows of 116 vehicles at 3 Schaumburg dealerships He was charged in Cook County so criminal records aren't publically available.

Looks like he was also noted as charged with criminal damage in this custodial report from the sheriff. It may be from the dealership incidents. I live in the next town - it’s referred to as the ‘Barrington Village’ and Lake Barrington as well as several other towns are associated with it and feed into the Barrington schools, etc. I noticed a man similar to the description who started appearing around town. He walks all day/night, but more closely resembles the booking photo from a few years ago where he isn’t clean cut. I’ll keep an eye out for him tomorrow and call it in if he looks like the photo.

Missing Person – Lake Barrington

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating Andrew Mcauliff, 30, of Lake Barrington.

He was last seen two weeks ago in the area of the 400 block of White Oak Lane, Lake Barrington, leaving his home on foot. Andrew does not have his phone and left without any electronics.

Height: 5'11"
Weight: 145 lbs
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Brown

When he left, he was last seen wearing a grey tee shirt, black shorts, and grey gym shoes.

If you have any information about Andrew’s whereabouts, please contact the Lake County Sheriff’s Office (847-549-5200).

Today, Andrew’s family approved of us releasing this information to seek additional help from the community.

Thank you - I'm concerned for him - as I stated, I think he has some mental health challenges, and the way he was dressed (shorts, T shirt) is fine for the day, but it's supposed to dip into the mid to lower 40's Friday through Sunday night. (I live in Chicago so have been watching the temps as I just put out some grass seed to repair a small area where the Lab rescue decided to "play")

9/15/25 UPDATE: Andrew was last seen in the Palatine area over the weekend (see photo in the comments). If you see him, please call us at 847-549-5200, so his wellbeing can be checked.

They provided this photo in the comments which looks like he might be wearing the same clothing from 2 weeks ago when he was reported missing.
