Musk has taken an interest in meddling in European politics lately, mostly via Xtwitter trolling. Yes we have a President (head of state, more a ceremonial position) and his term will be up soon. Someone else will be elected and there's not a chance in hell it will be the vile Conor McGregor.
I’m really sorry I didn’t know Ireland had a president. I feel like rape should keep you out of office. It didn’t work for the US. I’m concerned there are more rapists out there and able to vote than I thought. It’s bad when you want to be a British colony again. Lol
No that's OK! You usually hear about the Irish Taoiseach (prime minister) who runs the country. The President is meant to be above politics, very respected, dignified. McGregor's rape verdict was civil not criminal. There's technically nothing to stop him running but he wouldn't get elected, no matter how vigorously Musk tweets about him.
