Angelina Jolie

Thank YOU! When I read this thread I think the views on AJ border on hero-worship, sheesh!...
I certainly don't worship any Hollywood star. IMO, it is more noble to take on a cause without cameras following your every good deed. There are plenty of average people with far less resources who are doing good things for people.

It is hard for me to get past AJ's behavior from a few years' past. Perhaps, she has matured, but I still think that she is a weirdo in many respects. However, I'm not the one living with her or who is around her.

Brad probably has his own issues. Of course, all of us do, to a certain extent.

AJ and Brad may make a go of it if they stay out of the Hollywood circles. They could "retire" as I am certain that they have enough money to last them more than a lifetime. Only time will tell if either one gets restless and decides to move on... It just depends on their priorities in life...

I have no problem with Brad and Angie, their lives, their humanitarian efforts and family, but why must Jen be criticized because she sent him out on a late night run for cigs and Zone bars? Good grief, Angie is no saint! When she was with Billy Bob she had no passion for charity work that I know of, and so what? People change - life is a path that can wind all over the place...why does liking Angie mean Jen must be put down? I truly do not get this! :waitasec: Why not criticize Brad for ever marrying Jen and going on the late night run? This is a tough crowd! I know people who smoke and eat Zone bars who are great people and the fact that they do tells me little about their "greater purpose in life!" This really bugs me!

No body was criticizing Jen, never said anything negative about Jen, someone said Brad made a run for cigs for Jen and went to Zone bars. Now he is in a whole different world, just means he does not won't to run to the store for cigs and go to Zone bars. Nothing wrong with anyone else who wants to, if Jen still wants to fine she is just in a different place than Brad.
And Angie was doing charity work in Cambodia when she was with Billy Bob that is why she got Maddox and one of the reasons why her marriage broke up. As a matter of fact Billy Bob was even in Cambodia with her and some other places when she was doing it.

I still think it's all about Jen. She tried to phone Brad to congratulate him and they refused the call, the next day she's supposedly engaged, and she's already announced her plans to have a baby! Sour Grapes, IMO!:loser: :loser: :loser:

I saw the pictures of the Jolie-Pitt family in People magazine. The one where Angelina is holding Shiloh and she has her eyes open, she looks just like Brad. They all look great and so happy. I hope all works well for everyone involved, or formerly involved. :p

Do you have a link that she tried to call them?? I hadn't heard that anywhere. Also, where do you see that she's engaged and announcing her plans to have a baby? I missed that, too. TIA.

Baby photos reduce Aniston to tears

Jennifer Aniston is said to have been slipped copies of the Brangelina baby pictures from a magazine source and struggled to hold back tears at the sight of the infant with Jolie's lush mouth and Pitt's bright blue eyes. The former Mrs. Pitt's reported wistfully telling best friend, Courteney Cox, "This could have been my child, she's so beautiful." The pictures have made Aniston especially broody -- and the success of her film The Break-Up has convinced her she and beau Vince Vaughn could become Hollywood's new power couple. But friends continue to counsel her against jumping into a rebound marriage. She and Vaughn ducked the Brangelina baby publicity by taking off to Australia soon after Shiloh Jolie-Pitt arrived. http://lfpress.ca/newsstand/Today/Entertainment/2006/06/11/1625178-sun.html

Well if these stories are true, and AJ blocked the congrats call from Jen, she is even lower that I originally had her pegged. :croc:

I question JA's motive in calling, she knew she wouldn't be well received, what did she have to gain? Wouldn't win her Brad back.

Really? I thought it was a nice gesture. I doubt she did it because she had anything to gain but because it seems like a nice thing to do and might make things a little less akward between the three of them.

I think her motive was to congrat them on their new baby. I think it was a nice gesture, and she should have taken the call and acted like a human. I treat my husband's ex nicely. Being nice has never hurt anyone. What makes you think she even wants him back? I doubt she does. Seems to me both have moved along in their lives.

I think Jen would take Brad back in a heartbeat. I think she can't stand anyone else having him or his child, and Vince is really a cover/re-bound for her.

I doubt it. Who wants a cheating spouse back?

My thoughts exactly. Don't take back a cheater.

I doubt Jen actually made any such call, though obviously I don't know. But I'm a huge fan of Jen's, so there ya go.

Well, I don't see that he cheated on her. I think his relationship with Angelina started after the mess with Jennifer was over.

I do think Angelina is gorgeous and talented, no dispute there. But, while I am hip, cool and trendy, wearing blood and licking Billy Bob Thornton's face in public or whatever kind of made me grossout. I do that Brad is a step up from Billy Bob.

Since I believe Jen still cares for Brad, its got to hurt like hell. The best thing she can do for herself is to live life to the full and get on with her own life (as it appears she's doing). Heartbreak is just a fact of life that we all need to experience. It makes us who we are and probably makes us better friends and parents since we can relate when those around us go through similar circumstances.
