On November 1, 2007, Annie Proulx was seen for the last time in the Rimouski area in Quebec. Annie has not been seen or heard from since.

(Translated from French): The Quebec provincial police is once again asking for the public's help to find Annie Proulx who has been missing from Rimouski since 2007.

On November 30th, 2007, 37 year-old Annie Proulx was seen for the last time in the sector of Rivière Hâtée in the district of Bic in Rimouski. We know that up until that moment, she expressed a desire to go to Quebec City or Montreal. Since that time, her relatives have not heard from her.

Following the report of her disappearance, searches were conducted everywhere in the region followed by an appeal to the public via an official press release but to no avail as none of the information obtained led to her being found.

Over the years, this case has remained active with investigators of the major crimes department of the Quebec provincial police. They will ensure that all new information that may be reported will be verified and corroborated.

Today, 15 years later, we are once again asking for the help of the public in order to move the investigation forward.

NamUs UP80867 - Matches for estimated height. What stands out to me about this UP is that she had a bunch of items with her, as if she had been traveling. Some of those items included Canadian coins and "piece of wire frame glasses". This post from the Meutres es Disparitions Irresolus du Quebec (Unsolved Deaths and Disappearances of Quebec) appears to show Ms. Proulx wearing gold-framed glasses. There's no estimated PMI for the UP, as she was completely skeletonized. Even though the remains were found in Kentucky (approx. 2200km/1350mi) from Rimouski, I wouldn't rule this possible match out. If Ms. Proulx was hitchhiking, she could have wound up anywhere. And in 2007, no passport was required if you were traveling by car between the US and Canada. I've submitted this tip to the National Centre for Missing Persons and Unidentified Remains in Canada.
