(BBM)
UK,
Both R's admittedly put themselves in that room and LE knew for sure JR had been.
What if its just a matter of the number of prints or the lack there of. One smallish HI-TEC ~v~ many larger shoe prints? Making the HI-TEC the elephant in the room. What really gives importance to the print (IMO) is the distancing from it. The R's didn't say "BR had a pair and he played down there". Which would have made it a much smaller issue. The print is a small piece of this massive puzzle.
I'm not BDI ALL
I think the case is BDI with both BR and the parents doing some staging. Unless a smoking gun pops up JR is off the table, but he is still a suspect.
PDI is simply no longer the slam dunk it used to be, because Patsy could have been staging for BR and not for herself or John as the other theories suggest.
BDI explains stuf fthat , so far , the PDI theorists have failed to tell us why Patsy did what she did. BDI appears the weaker theory as a lot depends on how you interpret the parents behaviour, e.g. protecting their surviving child or staging him out of the case?
Like I said months ago I'll fly with BDI, as per Kolar, to see where it breaks, and curiously it has become more coherent. A few examples are:
1. The hi tec shoe print, since footprints do not arrive with timestamps it should not really be a controversial issue, yet BR told Kolar he was in the wine-cellar Christmas Day Afternoon, now that could cover the footprint , no problem. If you believe BR, what if he is lying, because he killed JonBenet and
was in the wine-cellar Christmas Night with the flashlight?
2. The flashlight for years now JR has denied the flashlight was theirs. Then out of the blue on Dr Phil's show he tells us he used the flashlight to put BR to bed, duh!
3. Patsy says she dressed JonBenet in Burke Ramsey's longjohns.
4. Patsy says she gave the size-12's to JonBenet, this would be in addition to any size-6 Bloomingdales she purchased for JonBenet on her New York trip.
5. Burke Ramsey said he slept all night until awoken by the police. Once a voice was identified as BR's on the 911 call, the parents admitted he was awake.
6. BR's penkife was found down in the basement, did Patsy use it to construct the ligature device, or did BR use it at some point?
7. BR's touch dna was found on the pink nightgown in the wine-cellar, as was a bloodstain from JonBenet, yet people say it arrived at the crime-scene via static cling?
So there is no smoking gun in the preceding list, but if the parents staged BR out of the case most of the items on the list might represent pre-emptive action, e.g. parents take responsibility for most of them.
Stuff that appeared innocuous and incidental has become more relevant when viewed through the BDI lens, and to date nothing has really been refuted, BDI is still on the table.
So on the footprint you have exclusively two different stances, one by the parents, nope it cannot be Burke's as he never owned hi tecs, and by Burke himself saying he was in the wine-cellar. So who do you believe?
Personally I think BR is lying to cover retrospectively for the footprint as he knows its been established he did in fact own a pair of hi tecs!
