Regarding the alleged NC call to BC cell. There is a missing Sony laptop - I never heard the exact age of it but not very old. Most laptops made since the mid-90's up until recently had built in modem ports. Most of these were also capable of sending and receiving faxes. I've used mine many times.

So if you want to make a delayed phone call, unplug the phone line, send a fax to your cell phone (the fax will fail), the fax program will wait a configurable amount of time before trying the call again. In my Windows PC, the default is 10 minutes. No FXO port, special equipment, or special expertise needed.

But there is evidence that NC made that call. It's on the TWC call records and BCs cell phone records.

I will respectfully disagree. I do, however, feel we can agree that there is only evidence that a call was made and answered.

A picture of the computer laptop screen on the big monitor was taken and shown in court from his home. It was password protected. It was on the cisco network and it was logged in. It was setup to automatically password protect after 10 min of inactivity. That is the testimony and those are the facts. Those facts aren't going to change.

How do they know it was set up to password protect after 10 minutes of inactivity if they were not logged into the laptop to see the screen lock parameters?

The biggest problem with that possibility or theory is it would have been broad daylight ...also some think the eldest could have called at 640AM....and if so why didnt Nancy?..because she couldnt lying in that ditch on Fielding Drive:maddening: All someone would have to ask the oldest would be "Did you see mommy leave for her jog this morning?"..Not a complicated or leading question..I'll bet someone did, but couldnt use her statement due to age JMO

IMO I think Good Daddy Brad gave them some Benedryl or something to ensure they would be in a deep sleep that night..bedtime 9PM..Brad was up all night attacking, cleaning, transporting ..Its not a wonder he looked pale and dazed the next day :banghead:

And for insurance he pushed the TV in front of the bedroom door.

I had considered that maybe BC had told a child to hit redial when the kitchen timer rang or something, like it was a game. I think, however that it would have been too risky, and I bet dollars to donuts that the older child was asked about such a scenario and if she had said something like that happened, it would be in the State's case. MOO

didn't happen ...he said the older child didn't get up till 8:30...

the pros said there is evidence the Judge won't let in ..so we will have to wait till the trial is over to find out what the incriminating evidence is

Wasn't the sony laptop shown to be purchased by a friend?

well I just bought my friend a IPad2...my computer shows where I bought it..when I bought it...who delivered it..where it was delivered to
I also have the signature of who signed for it
and I know she has it because she emailed a photo of herself using it

So...which friend got the Sony??

Guys, the Sony laptop was a receipt that was shown to have been forwarded. They did not conclude anything about it but that it was no longer relevant to the pros or the defense. I believe it may have either been a gift or a credit card loaned out or something that was obvious that neither side thought anything of it.

there is so much direct evidence in this trial..do we really need to drag children into it? Since nothing can be brought in about children is it a good thing to bring this pure speculation of the above?

I've been wondering about this too. I wasn't able to follow too closely while this was being discussed on the stand so I wasn't sure if I missed something. Did anyone actually look for the missing equipment at Cisco?

There has been no testimony that anybody has looked for the equipment nor asked the whereabouts of the equipment.

I think it is suspicious that there is a laptop that could not be located

OT/ Listening to Greg Fischel talking about Holly Springs Rd in relation to a tornado. Take cover out there.

But why would we believe BC saying the oldest child didn't get up till 8:30?

If the younger child was crying and could not be quieted etc. it leaves me questioning if the older child slept through this, they were in the same room.

Not believing much if anything BC said I am not sure I would think he told the truth about this.:twocents:

OT///// WRAL news is reporting that a tornado is heading from the Sanford area to the Holly Spring/Cary/Raleigh area at this very moment. Please watch a local weather report to stay informed. Hail is included in storms.

Cooper trial cameraman Chad Flowers was just on TV standing outside on a tall balcony, talking about the weather. He better not fall!

receipts and Zero product!

I think there's some confusion about the "missing" Sony laptop. There was testimony from the FBI agent that the "receipt" for that laptop showed it was purchased by a co-worker's of BC's, and never would have even been in BC's hands. I don't see how this is "missing" at all.

And as to having a VOIP account at home--there's been no testimony to indicate that was on a Time Warner account. I would assume if you're bringing home Cisco equipment and using an IP phone, you'd just use the Cisco internet line, not a land line. So, he would not have needed an FXO port or a Router that is compatible for that system. Can someone please correct me if I'm wrong? I just don't see the connection between having an IP phone in the house (which he still had on the 12th by the way, according to testimony) and generating a call on a Time Warner land line. It's two different systems that operate in two different ways. We have no testimony to say he used the IP phones on the Time Warner line in the past. Thanks for the feedback!

OT///For any of you near Raleigh--WRAL is stating, for sure, that there is something on the ground and it's headed straight for downtown Raleigh. Please pay attention.
WRAL just went off the air.

Tornado on the ground on Holly Springs Road. This was from WRAL live just seconds before it went off the air.

I understood that the Cisco phones were throughout the house and they were still using the TW account. He took the rest of them out after Nancy complained about all the issues. The phone in his office was on the Cisco system and allowed him to receive his office calls and VM on that phone. That was my understanding.

Channel 11, from Durham, keeps cutting out on me. I lost WRAL earlier too.
Trucker said the Lowes Home Improvement store in Sanford was completely destroyed.
