Storm has recently finished in Apex area, we have just cleared our yard of many roof shingles and insulation. It is not from my house or any neighbors and I am hopeful that everyone near my area or storm area remains safe.

Thanks for checking in Albert. Glad the debris wasn't from your house or neighbors but isn't it scary as heck to know that stuff blew in from out of the immediate area.

They are saying it's in Smithfield right now, strong, car flipping winds, large hail, in smithfield now, heading towards Selma.

A woman from that Lowes called in and said everyone was okay. Some minor injuries, but they all managed to get to the back of the store. Every car in the parking lot was damaged she said, and the entire front of the store collapsed.

It's pretty bad in south Raleigh and Lee county

I was just watching the Durham news showing the damage on South Saunders St. in Raleigh. None of the people in that area appeared to have been hurt but the downed power lines were bad.

Do you have a place cleared in the closet? Time to hang out there for a while. I took snacks with me--told my husband I didn't want to die hungry! :)

LOL, just finished a bag of Cool Ranch Doritos, figuring out what to grab next. No, me a nervous eater, no way. :great:

Ohhh Myyy You guys all stay safe..and just a helpful reminder ( from past experience) IF you take to a closet or basement ..dont forget to take a blanket and pillow..AS, IF you happen to get blocked in, it really really comes in handy for comfort..not to mention throwing a blanket over your head to protect from flying debris...Sure saved myself and puppy at the time!!

Praying for everybody to stay safe :grouphug::praying:

You know, even with some of our adversarial thoughts and posts about Brad Cooper, I would be the first one to arrive to help if anybody on here needed it. I don't want anybody from WS to have any bad weather or problems of any kind. Sending good thoughts to all.

I hope so it will stay east of you.
I am afraid we are next in the path according to what I'm hearing and reading.

Just checking in. We were in the bathtub listening to WRAL on the radio trying to figure out where the tornado was. They talked about the Holly Springs, Kildaire, Penny Rd. area. It was quiet here and we couldn't figure out what was going on. Very eerie. Then they mentioned Graham Newton Rd., and I said, 'Oh, that's east of here, by Lake Wheeler." I knew where it was because of Brad and Scott's wild ride. :D Thank you, Brad!

Thank you for this info. The pictures of that store look awful. Those pictures are what the national networks will pick up, look just terrible. So happy that no one in the store was hurt.

Yes, you stay safe. Are you east of Rocky Mt? Just looking at the map on TV, orange around the Clayton area. That is more in our area, more so than Smithfield.

I am still kinda in shock he planned this in advance.

Honestly, the fact he planned this just doesn't sit well with me. I had always figured something set him off and it was a heat of the moment type thing. That it was planned just doesn't seem like something an intelligent person would do to their wife/mother of their kids.

Oh oh, lost TV signal, rain is coming down in droves, thunder and wind cooming in.
