The alleged shooter was reported near Mullins Library. U of A has confirmed that UAPD is on campus and is currently evacuating students. Fayetteville police tell 5NEWS that they are also on scene, clearing the library. There are currently no reported injuries.


I had two employees at this location and they witnessed the person with the gun. They are safe and locked down in another building now.

ETA: Multiple calls, no confirmation of anything. No confirmed shots. No confirmation of anything.

First call was around 12:30 this afternoon. No confirmed shots. No confirmed injuries. They are clearing every building that has been reported. Nobody arrested. Have detained one or two people who have been released.

Looking like another hoax of an active shooter on a college campus. This would be the 4th one in a week.

Not that I know of. It could be the same person...
In the livestream posted above, it was reported that LE received multiple calls for this incident. I'd like to know if they were robo/programmed calls, or a group of people calling, or one person calling from different phone numbers???

It's a dangerous hoax to pull. I hope the responsible people are caught and held to account.
