Just bumping because Amir and his mother stay on my mind. His son was born in the time he’s been missing. I hope both his mother and his son get to grieve him properly if he is gone, they deserve answers and justice. I really hope the police pursue a no body homicide case. I don’t see any of them turning on one another and giving up his location unless murder charges are on the table.

Amir Ellis was last seen in Hot Springs in May. Two people are now facing kidnapping charges for Amir, but he has yet to be found.

Nathaniel Speed and Alexia Chambers were arrested for the kidnapping of Amir. They now are facing trial for those charges.

Speed's most recent trial was pushed again. This time it won't be until October.
Chambers next hearing is at the end of August.

A juvenile was also taken into custody in connection to Amir's kidnapping.

Amir’s mother says they learned a lot about everything at a court hearing earlier this week including that Amir begged for his life. His remains have still not been located but they did get an approximate location from the info that came out in the hearing and they are organizing a search on Saturday.

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — A tip from an undisclosed individual about the location of the remains of Amir Ellis, a 20-year-old Hot Springs man kidnapped and presumed murdered in May, has spurred the largest volunteer and law enforcement effort yet in the search for the young man.

“Bones were found. It's not definitive yet whether human or animal, but that's what they're getting ready to determine. I think this is it," said Jessica Ellis, Amir's mother”.

I find myself still thinking of Amir and his mother often. Does anyone know how long it typically take to positively identify skeletal remains? I wonder if the ones they found during the aforementioned search were indeed human.

Hot Springs mother of Amir Ellis continues search for son

While Amir isn't here there’s a piece of him that is— his son.

“I mean every day, he just looks more and more like Amir every day,” said Ellis.

No matter what, Ellis said she is determined not to give up.

“I have to. I got to make sure he gets justice. And I have to make sure I bring him home so that I can have some peace,” she explained.

Possible human remains were found Saturday in a wooded area off Highway 7 north, the Garland County Sheriff's Office said in a release issued Monday.
At around 1 p.m., sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a call that came in about possible human remains found in an area off Highway 7 north, Sgt. John Schroeder, the GCSO public information officer, said in the release.
The Garland County Criminal Investigation Division along with the Garland County Coroner's Office responded to the scene and collected possible human remains which were then sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab to positively determine if they are human remains and for DNA testing to see if the remains can be identified.
"This is an ongoing investigation, if you have any information pertaining to this case please contact the Garland County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division at 501-622-3660," Schroeder said.
Multiple searches have been held in the same general area by family members and friends of Amir Isaiah Ellis, 20, of Hot Springs, who was reported missing on May 17. Ellis' mother, Jessica Ellis, has said she received tips that her son's body might be found in the Jessieville area.
Three teen suspects were arrested on May 27 in Fort Smith in connection with the kidnapping of Amir Ellis. Nathaniel Allen Speed, 18, who lists a Centerview Street address, Alexia Tamaara Chambers, 18, who is reportedly homeless, and a juvenile, under the age of 18, whose name is not being released, were each charged with a felony count of kidnapping, punishable by up to life in prison. Speed and Chambers are each being held in the Garland County Detention Center on $1 million bonds.
Ellis' mother, Jessica posted on Facebook Saturday night that "It's been almost 8 long months of praying, trusting, believing, not believing, then believing again, that my prayers for you to be found would be answered. Today, human remains were found in Jessieville that is likely yours! We won't be sure until test come back, but Son, I believe with all my broken heart that I AM ABOUT TO BRING YOU, AMIR ELLIS, HOME! ... as hard as this is and as bad as my heart aches right now, I pray ... to God, that in a few days, I'll have you back and can give you the PEACE & JUSTICE you so rightly fully deserve. I love you son, and I will never give up, I meant that! No matter what! I love you so much son and I'm so sorry they hurt you son, but Gods will, will be done for everyone involved!
"Please pray for me and my boys, our lives are forever changed. "

Good, if these are his remains, and I believe they are, they can increase the charges against the three suspects! Justice for Amir

I’m so grateful that his mom was able to bring him home like she promised. I know she would have never rested until she did. Now she can begin to grieve him and see that justice is served for Amir. I can’t wait to see the new charges added and I hope in the process of trying to ask for plea deals, that they rat on all of the other individuals who may have served as accessories to his death (imo)

His mother first confirmed the information on social media.

"God Answered," a post on her Facebook page said. "Amir is HOME! It was Amir's remains. Prayers please!"

Jessica Ellis posted earlier in the day that she had called the Crime Lab.

"Just called the State Crime Lab AGAIN, and still NO ANSWERS! ... I'm just so tired of crying, I'm just so tired of my heart hurting, I just want it to stop. I miss my son so bad," the post said in part.
