GUILTY AR - Anne Pressly, 26, raped & murdered, Little Rock, 20 Oct 2008 #1

Just wanted to add, I think we all kind of know that the person who did this is not the best thinker as they went to a gas station (I think everyone in the world knows the gas stations have security cameras) and used her credit card.. Wonder if they are still trying to use her cards anywhere you know... I would be checking to see if they like sold the credit card numbers online ... like that dateline report where they had credit card thieves selling the numbers online and dateline did a sting on em
So,if the person using the credit card is the person who killed her, than the killer is a woman? I would think the gas station attendent, would be skeptical if a male was using a female's credit card. For some reason I automatically thought it was a man.

Beaglebrd, I was only going by press reports that said she wasn't stabbed. Even falls can split the skin where you would think the person has been cut. If LE is holding that back, it's possible but it was first reported as a stabbing then changed to blunt force trauma.

capps, it might have been a pay at the pump/insert card. The attendent would not see the name on the card. From what I have read the video is blurry, so maybe the killer was only outside at the pumps not at the register where the video might be better.

Yes, it was reported as stabbing and then blunt force trauma only. I was told by someone else tonight who would know and was told she wasn't stabbed. So I've got two people I trust who know inside info and one said she was stabbed and the other wasn't. I think it may be that the tool that was used to beat her ripped her skin and made her appear to be stabbed.

No matter what, her injuries were way bad.

Thanks for the info colette!

Thanks, Arkansas Mom! This could be a mistake on John's part as AMW isn't the most credible source of information and hasn't been for quite some time. A lot of their info has been proven to be either incorrect, misleading, or otherwise found inaccurate. (Sad, but true.) Maybe this time they are right. Who knows?!

However, I have always considered that a sexual assault was part of this scenario and they were not releasing that information.

He revealed that according to his sources, 26-year-old news anchor, Anne Pressly, was beaten and raped in her home. So far authorities have refused to say whether she was sexually assaulted.

It is sad, but wonderful that Anne's legacy lives on through the man with a new set of lungs. They described her as a giving and loving person so it doesn't surprise me that she would want to be an organ donor! RIP Anne Pressly and thank you for helping someone else live a quality life.

AMW get all of their info from the detectives who are working the case. I know that for a fact as I have been on their program...when my daughter was murdered and the killer was on the run. So whatever the detectives tell Walsh and his co-workers is what will be reported.

My heart goes out to you, BA-what a terrible way to gain experience in this area.

I am sorry for your loss and having to go through that experience. :(

However, things have obviously changed in the past couple of years with AMW. We have time and time again watched them print/air things which are inaccurate and do not gel with LE's versions put out to the public. They are not taking adequate time for fact checking. Ask Tom's Girl how many times we have come across their inaccuracies in cases the past couple of years! It has really gotten to the point where we no longer will use them as a reference for articles here due to this problem. If they are getting their facts straight from LE...then by the time they go to print or on air...they are making serious editing mistakes or otherwise missing their marks. It is truly an issue.

...snip.... No. No reason for ski masks to be sold in Florida, but I guess they do sell or they wouldn't be on the shelves.

Hey! It gets down in the teens in Gainesville...granted, Central/North Florida is almost like a different state than South Florida...but I even own a ski mask for days that it's bitterly cold and long walks on campus. =)

I wouldn't be caught in a ski mask...but I guess that is just my personal take on "fashion sense". During the bitter cold, I simply wrap my scarf across my face a bit. Ski masks are the ugliest of all winter gear, imo. LOL

It never ceases to amaze me tho when we hear of perps buying duct tape, rope, gloves, and ski masks in the same purchase and there is never a report at the time to LE. Those purchases together scream out, "I am up to no good!".

:::snip::: I don't think any adult is going to be able to fit through a doggie door, although I may be wrong about that.
Sorry for offending people, it was someone elses post from another site, and i just had the same questions.

I can fit through a medium-sized dog door =P 5'7 - but you'd have to be very thin to squirm through (did just try this to make sure...it's been a while!). Could point to a female if they did indeed enter through the dog door...my shoulders barely fit...so I doubt a male's shoulders would fit through diagonally...just a thought.

Added: Sorry I'm playing catch-up with posts...but the female theory is making more sense because a woman would have more of a reason to injure Anne around the face area...she was in showbiz...it would have crippled her career...perhaps jealousy? Just a thought.

Lol!!! I'm so thin, I need all of the help I can get...I throw fashion to the wind in the winter.... =) But, I would agree if I were of normal proportions! =D

One think that makes me suspicious of the stabbing story was the organ donation. I'm no expert, but I did work in a trauma hospital. And from what I know, if someone's organs are severely damaged, they aren't good for transplant. However, this is just a guess on my part. We know that Anne's donations went to several people, bless her family for caring enough to donate.

Great job WS'ers on finding that creepy guy and turning him in. Very scary.

I help coordinate Organ Procurement as part of my job....she was probably an ideal candidate...if it really was just head trauma...lovely of her family to do so.

LOL True enough though I cannot think of a reason I would if I lived in such warm place! They could come visit me instead.

Welcome to WS (officially)!!

Even if she had been stabbed, as long as it didn't penetrate her organs...they would be viable for donation I would think.

What creepy guy?! I must have missed it.
