The name alone is rather off the wall. Who calls themselves the Angel Of Death on a car site? You would think the names would be more geared towards their hot rods or their egos.

I couldn't agree more. The angel of death is very out of the ordinary for a corvette forum. Last I checked there isn't a death angel corvette out there unless I am missing something. I signed up for the forum the other day but didn't go back to it - has anyone else check out all of the angel of death's posts??? Anything else strange?

And the coincidence really could be more than that. Very scary!!

Maybe that "angel of death" nick is the same one he uses on some gammer or metal site and he just uses the same nick from there. It is strange but that could be a reasonable explaination, some people only use one nickname for everything.

Truthful lies, thanks for the info on organ donation. The act of stabbing the face is difficult, lots of bones, so the idea of stabbing someone makes me think more of other soft tissue areas. IMO of course.

Do you think there is any possibility Anne's purse was tossed and the person at the gas station just used it? Stupid thing to do, but wouldn't be the first time.

I didn't see anything creepy in that man's posts on the anchors. He didn't start the thread or bring it back up either. He probably is harmless, but doesn't hurt to check the connection to the site until we know what happened to the last woman. If it is domestic then it will rule that out.

I think it will be just a strange coincidence in the end tho.

WOW - can you believe how much they had it together. I can't say I would have the same strength. You can tell by her mother's expressions, dry mouth, etc...that she may be on some anti-depressant/sedative...which is a good thing, IMO.

Gosh - it really seems as if they have no leads! Even the gas station tape, didn't pan out. Too sad.

I have seen the same look on other local celeb faces at times. LOL It sometimes is difficult for them to go out to a bar or a club with friends without throngs of adoring fans wanting a photo-op. It looks like all that amounted to, imo.

Lots of guys wear baseball Jerseys for their fav team, but don't own a bat, ball, or a glove...or ever played the game. He said he worked at the station so I would assume they did a background check on him, too.

Oh, MY! I was sure hoping the gas station tape would have given them a good break in the case. Surely they have something to go on with the forensics left at the scene especially if a sexual assault took place.

I think they need to retrace her steps the night before again and again. We know she went to a party. What we don't know is if she made any stops on the way home. She drew the unwanted attention of someone...but where and when? If she made no stops...then everyone at the party becomes suspect and also the neighbors. I don't know why, but the neighbor thing bothers me. If someone had been watching her and has gotten away so easily...I guess it is my first inclination to think he could live nearby.

Now that sounds like an attempt to make either the community or the perp feel safer or they know something else. That is rather a bold statement for them to be making at this stage, imo. How could they theorize that?! Makes no sense.

I also thought the comment by LE was strange. I wonder if:
1) LE made the comment because they had a read or partial read on the car tag that may have been viewed on the surveillance tape. Perhaps the tag was an out of state tag?
2) It was stated that Anne had work done around her house and that perhaps the attacker was familiar w/ her and her home because he had done the work. In my area of Arkansas, when we had to have roofs replaced because of hail damage, the area was inundated w/ roofing companies. Most were not local. They would come in, make a bid, do the work and move on to the next area of the country that needed the same type of work. Maybe LE has info. of this nature?

Right now I think Tina sounds more likely to have been the victim of something domestic, but the coincidence is just odd enough to notice. There are some other odd things about this dude. May be worth it just to talk to him, for police.

Anyone know about Anne covering any stories about Corvette lovers recently?

Here I take a day off and look at what I miss. TV anchors and DJ's are always making personal appearances. I was thinking how celebs are always riding in parades and how either a local car dealer or car club donates the use of their vehicles. I've seen several parade type pics of Anne floating around. But I can't recall the types of cars involved.

The Angel of Death name is from a Slayer song. I don't think it is too much of a stretch for someone who likes fast cars to like loud heavy music. Slayer might not be everyone's cup of tea but the nick name is not anything that I think has to do with anything.
I saw the forum, while some people here might think it is creepy in light of what happened to Anne, the forum is nothing new. I think it is a guy thing, and the Slayer reference is a generational thing.

Just had to pipe in because this is not the first time I have seen the whole discussion go in strange directions because of details that make sense to some but not others for whatever reason. (OLD FOLKS!!!) :crazy:

There is a really good article on Anne and her mother. It was said Anne's Mom asked her "who did this to you?" but Anne never answered or woke up.

There is a really cute card that a friend made for Anne when she was in middle school and wanted to be a TV anchor.
Also from that article they have "DNA and other evidence taken from Pressly’s home, and they know that her purse and other belongings were taken. They have said they are treating it as a random crime rather than the act of a stalker."
Other evidence, finger prints? Other belongings?...items of value such as electronics?
