YellowDog, I'm getting impatient, too. I check the online news & here daily to see if anything else has developed.

The perp who did this to Anne needs to be put away forever.

Yup, but thats basically why there isnt a lot of news. The gag order on official sources is still in place, and the suspected killer is locked up in jail. I doubt much will come out unless he has another court appearance and obviously at his trial in September.

I too look several times a day for news.

Hello. Well, Vance has a court date this Friday, the 13th, to evaluate his mental health. I'm getting impatient too. The trial is just too far away.

Ditto here YellowDog~ I wonder if they'll opt for the mental eval. I imagine red flags be flyin all over the place as to vance's violent tendencies and character traits. I mean if he wants to say he's innocent, he better not, unless psycopathic people have an abililty to answer the questions resulting in a favorable outcome on their part. I don't really know very much about it, I'm just going by "the way I figure".

It was in our local paper today that Vance did not have that court date last Friday, it will be this week!

He may or may not be present.

He's not crazy like that but he is extremely unintelligent... why can't he stop talking to the press when they ask him questions?

I think they realize that while he might be stupid hes not crazy or insane. I wonder how his alibi explains how his DNA and probably other evidence was found in Anne's house.

not that has ever been confirmed. LE has only said HIS DNA matched. i guess technically you would ahve two... hers and his. I doub't there is a mysterious third person.

Thanks for that link Carla- Is double celling a common tactic with LE? Do they need more evidence, or is it the more the merrier?

Pressly's father, Guy Cannady, has said he wants the "maximum sentence" for the person found guilty for his daughter's death.

well you want a preponderance of evidence (thats my SAT word of the day). You want forensic evidence, DNA, statements by the accused, etc. So much that even if you threw half of it out, it was still overwelming.

I can see them going for the strongest possible case. There isnt any real need to make a deal with Vance if they have the evidence. The possibility though that Vance might make a deal by providing info about other crimes he is involved in is a possibility. You know, like "if you cut me a deal I might know something about that rape and burglary in whateverville last year"
