Anne Passed away a year ago this weekend. Her killers trial will not be delayed... (although it has taken more than a year to come to trial, which to me is a delay...)

Carla, I haven't forgotten. I've also been thinking of you! Real life has sort of gotten in the way lately. I have a new granddaughter and we've moved into a bigger place...Long story.

Anyway, there will be justice soon for Ann!

Take care Carla! (((Hugs)))

I want also for this thread to reflect the whole story of things... it didnt end with Vance's arrest... So if, in the future, someone looks here they can see the whole thing from start to finish.

Judge Piazza's court tells Today's THV that jury selection is expected to last three days. The trial has been scheduled for two weeks.

Today's THV will have more on this story coming up right here on todaysthv.com and also on "Today's THV at 6:00."

Thanks!

We had a big murder here (the Denise Amber Lee case) and it was supposed to last weeks and weeks and it actually wrapped up pretty quick. I hate to use the phrase "slam dunk" but it was about that. So who knows. I just want justice.

Once convicted, Vance should be taken out back behind the court house and summarilly executed like they do in China...

Honestly, you are right. If they made the punishment fit the crime, it would certainly feel more like justice was done.

I'm still here, too! I've just been waiting for the trial to begin.

Well friends after a year the time has come. Im sure a lot of questions will be answered. Maybe new questions asked? Hopefully justice will be served.

More jury news today...

This quote from the second article enrages me... "

"One man, who ultimately was excused, said it would be difficult to find a capital murder convict who doesn't deserve execution."

WTF?!?!?!?! if he is Convicted of Capital Murder.... why shouldnt he deserve to be executed?!?!?! Are they trying to seat some candy 🤬🤬🤬 jury like OJ got??

I suppose I would never make it on a jury...

As of today 11 people had been seated on the Jury but one backed out so its now 10.

saw the video clip of the defendant talking to a reporter as he was taken back to jail from the court, seemed pretty cool calm and collected for one who is soon to go on trial for this heinous crime,

It stands to reason that the defense attorney would strike a potential juror honest enough to admit it would be hard for him NOT to sentence someone convicted of capital murder to death. Just like I would expect a Pros to strike someone who would have a hard time condemning anyone to the death penalty.

I appreciate the updates on this case, which has gone to trial quickly. Maybe we will learn more about this terrible incident. My continued prayers for all who have been touched by this crime.

Vance has been a weird bird throughought the last year... he is very talkative and Im sure he gives his lawyers fits... Over the last few months he has confessed at least three times yet has said he hopes the cops find the real killer LOL
