AL attorney probably already had told him about the plea agreement before today. Wonder if he is "still in love" now? But Hey. He will get to see her again.jmo

I just read this on fb that she pleads guilty and gets 30 years. I am shocked to believe that she was in on this from the very beginning, I actually had some thoughts that she was more of a victim of Aaron's. I am a Realtor® and can tell you that every time I get a call from a stranger about real estate - Beverly Carter comes to my mind. What Crystal Lowery and Aaron Lewis did to an innocent person incenses me. All Beverly was doing was trying to make a living. Crystal Lowery's sentence was too lenient in my book, she should have gotten life without parole. If Aaron Lewis pleads will he get the same leniency too?

One of the Reporters asked Pros Johnson and Johnson said that Arron hasn't presented anything in ref to a plea or indicated nor has the Pros offered. And left it at that.

Thank you, arkansasmimi.

ONLY at the trial lol Women are housed in a different prison in diff part of the state. She will be at McPherson Unit, Newport AR.

LOL iirc the mens prison that AL was at when he was paroled in 2013 is in that area lol

lol. Wonder if his heart will pound? Will she be wearing prison clothes and jewelry as a witness since she is now a convicted murderer or street clothes?

Well if he loved her he would have taken the fall and negotiated a deal for her, you know since she's so "innocent and was framed". I'm still steamed that all she got was 30 years with chance of parole in 21...that's just wrong. IMO

I can't believe anyone can still defend CL, she's ADMITTED the charges. Not even an Alford plea, but a guilty plea. She did it. She was responsible for the kidnapping and murder of Beverly. AL still has to come to trial, but CL is 100% guilty! End of story.

Secondly, there is no cause for celebration. I'll not celebrate CL being in prison. I'd rather she was home with her daughter right now if it meant that Beverly was with her husband, sons and family. But as Beverly has had her life taken it's only fair that CL has her liberty taken. So it's not a celebration. It's relief that justice has been served albeit partially for Beverly.

Exactly. Carters may get justice but they will never get to celebrate their beloved Beverly back. CL wont get to attend her childrens wedding or be there when her grandchildren are born or watch them graduate college. There is no celebration for all these families hurt by her bad choices. The most to hope for is justice. There are no winners here.jmo

I (finally!) just caught up on this thread and I gotta say, I am a little ashamed to be here today. Some of the posts have been pretty disrespectful. Beverly is NOT the only victim here. Let's not forget, Crystal has minor children who now get to deal with the fact that their mother is a killer. They had nothing to do with this and heaven forbid they should EVER come across this site.

I refuse to celebrate today. I refuse to "bash" Crystal or Arron, guilty or not. WE can talk about facts and guilt without name-calling, sarcasm and acting like immature non-humans.

Yes, Crystal plead guilty. Yes, she obviously took part in Beverly's murder. But let's not forget, Crystal's family and friends are victims too! Some of them do read here and they are probably trying to wrap their heads around all this and determine the best way to help her children get through this. We can help provide respectful discussion or we can contribute to the endless stream of media that they will need to avoid. I, for one, would prefer to not go there.

I guess I missed the celebrating and immature non-human posts you are referring to. If we shouldn't discuss the acts of the guilty in fear of insulting their family or friends then what's the point of being on webslueths? That's what this site is about, discussing the actions of the guilty and what led up to the incident, trying to figure out what happened and if there is a "why". I haven't been on here much lately, so I guess I missed the disrespectful discussion.

I agree with you. I wasn't pointing a finger at anyone directly because I don't want to start anything. It just seems that several posters were "getting into it" a few pages back, and that, combined with the "celebration" posts and jokes about Crystal was enough to have me shaking my head today. Perhaps I read wrong?

There was extreme name calling and it wasn't about Crystal. To say that those who are glad that there is no doubt who killed Beverly because Crystal admitted it, therefore forcing someone to take accountability are immature and non-human is not okay. Immature and non-human? Killing a lady while she works because you want her money is immature and non-human. That's a fact. No one here made Crystal do anything. We all wish we could be playing in our fairy gardens. Instead, we stand by to support Beverly's memory by watching as someone admits to kidnapping her and pre-meditated murder with the intent for ransom. In my opinion, if the MILD things we posted here are too much to handle, how do you think Beverly felt having to literally fight for her life through them? I promise you, the details are much worse than anyone saying they are glad Crystal is in jail for a long time and calling her a murderer- because she is. That's what admitting to first degree murder makes you- a murderer. I refuse to coddle Crystal's name any further. Her family has been handed this by HER. SHE is the one responsible for their sadness and pain. A crime forum discussing the act isn't going to change that. They no longer have any doubts, as she admitted it. If they do not want details or people discussing the fact that she murdered someone, they definitely don't need to read anything about her anymore. And her family has been clear that they do not support what she has done and have the utmost sympathy for The Carters. They have been vocal supporters of The Carters through this process. At Websleuths, we discuss. And the details are rarely pretty. And today, Crystal Lowery admitted to kidnapping and murdering a VERY innocent woman. That is the ultimate immature and non-human thing I have seen all day, for sure.

He is diagnosed with Antisocial Personality Disorder. His love is not really for love- it is for self-preservation. He thought that if he "loved her up" enough, she would continue to claim innocence, which would give him a better fighting chance at freedom. Reading his past psychological and social histories, he is not really capable of love. Lust, yes. Ego-building, for sure. Manipulation, extremely!!! Most all of his actions are in order to manipulate and help himself. That's my opinion in a professional but non-professional setting kind of way.

I wonder what role the timeline played into the picture that Crystal allegedly had a friend help her with? (shortly after Arron's arrest but before her arrest obviously) Did it help the investigation? Did it hinder the investigation?

Doubt it hindered it at all because they were already on to them right away it sounds like. They were just hoping they would lead them to BC body. When she was planning her timeline LE already had stuff on them. jmo
