Looking at our Sunday newspaper with homes for sale, rent, etc. here in Houston, TX and noticing all the realtors with their photos in the ads. There must be about 50 photos with different realtors in today's newspaper. I just don't see why they feel the need to post their photo with their ad. I know when my house was for sale and the sale pending, I asked the realtor to remove the sign (with her photo) from my yard and she pointed out to me that "our contract" stated it was authorized to remain there - my concern was vandalism, etc., advertising the home was vacant. Back to the photo .... I would think many men may find an attraction to a realtor based on the photo, use the muse of buying a house to get to know her, and .... well, I am surprised we do not hear of this sort of crime occurring more often.
Does posting a woman's photo make her more vulnerable to kooks out there in the world? Me thinks it is possible.

Regarding the CL ad, it's possible that he would have posted in Memphis instead of Little Rock so as not to be too obvious. Or maybe he wanted to hook up with someone in Memphis so his wife would be less likely to catch him. It would be nothing to hop on that motorcycle and drive to Memphis. Heck, he might be able to visit his dad on the way. Just my thoughts. That CL ad just seems like too much of a coincidence. Was it found before or after they announced him as a suspect? Wouldn't it be something if that ad was what made them suspect him? Curious what made him a suspect so early if he used a fake name and number.

Meanwhile....some dude, completely unrelated to this case, in Memphis is freaking out that the police are going to come knocking on his door when his wife/girlfriend is home and she is going to find out that he posted a stupid online ad to fulfill a weird fantasy. :giggle:

The ad was definitely found before he was named as a suspect. I think it is extremely unlikely that AL posted it. Posting an ad looking for a willing and consensual partner to fulfill a fantasy with is COMPLETELY different than whatever happened that night that resulted in BC's kidnap and murder. At the very least, if it were him that posted the ad thinking he could find someone willing and then over power them and harm them he definitely would have removed the ad prior to putting his plan in motion to go after BC. Again, MOO.

The article in the paper today states that he had at one point lived with his father in Brinkley. Yikes. That is my home town. I don't know if his father still lives there, but Brinkley is half way between Little Rock and Memphis on I40. Memphis is one hour away from Brinkley. Brinkley is tiny, and there is not much there. Brinkley people drive to Little Rock or Memphis for shopping, going to movies, etc. So I think there is a good possibility that he could have spent some time in Memphis.

Late Uncle in Covington, cousins in Sardis, aunt in Maryville. HTH.

Maybe he called to confirm that appointment and there was his number...just guessing

Maybe he's a real idiot and took selfies with her phone. I don't doubt it. He did have her phone.

Arkansas has become known for meth. Crack is sold from little rock to Jacksonville . Heroine is also making a comeback on the streets. It's bad.
I know he was on something... but I don't have a clue when it comes to "meth". I know it doesn't make you sleep and hallucinate.

I've had to take a break from this case so I'm not 100% caught up. Was her phone located yet?

I don't think that's been released. I'm going off the fact there were texts sent after the kidnapping.

I think you meant it makes you unable to sleep and can cause hallucinations.
I'm not for sure it was meth either but he has the look I've seen in his eyes of meth users and it's so prevalent in this area . I've read he was doing some hard drugs. It could be heroin too though.

Thinking about premeditation and the fake name given when the appt was set up:

I still believe that this was not planned unless it was intended to be a ransom and it went wrong.

So then I have to find a way to explain why, if it was a crime of anger in the moment, give a fake name from the beginning? I was thinking that he may have given a fake name because he thought that the agents may google or background check or check funds for potential buyers. So maybe he gave a fictitious name that was actually a real person he knows so that the RE company would not turn him down about even seeing a house. IOW, maybe the fake name was not because he was planning a crime, but just something a seven-time felon does because he has experienced getting turned down for things in the past due to his record.

Am I making any sense?

I understand what you're saying but ... I think this was a planned kidnapping for ransom that went wrong.

Wasn't he unemployed? He only worked for Argon a few weeks and he started in July. I'm more than sure he has gone through his settlement. He bought a house and his ex a car according to his Facebook. I don't think he had the money to buy a house.

The CL ad was on the Memphis, TN CL site...approx 2 hours away. I suppose he could have posted that ad there and been willing to drive the 2 hours (or the ad could have been answered from anywhere...just wondering out loud why he would post that on a Memphis site and not the Little Rock one)
AL also had a video posted on his FB page of himself and a young blonde woman in a motel room. In the comments he said he had to "go out of state" for this one. (The girl in video)

Have any of you considered the angle of religion? AL's mother became extremely religious as a way to overcome her past as a gang member in California (I think that is what I read somewhere). AL's mother no doubt tried to convert AL to be religious too. BC was a very active member in the Pentecostal church. What I'm throwing out there is perhaps robbery was the original motive but BC started praying or otherwise demonstrating her faith and that set AL off. Obviously this is my opinion/speculation.

I don't know much if anything about drugs, but just from things I have read, he didn't seem like the meth type to me. They say that it affects your body, skin and teeth very quickly. That was the one thing I noticed about him, was he had nice teeth, especially for someone who has been in prison a lot.

Only if they smoke it. They don't get meth teeth if they inject it. From comparing recent photos to the not so recent photos on FB and IG, he appeared to have lost a lot of weight, which screams meth to me. JMO.

I think meth use causes tooth decay whether injected, snorted or smoked. Here's some information about meth that will give some insight into how AL might have been feeling IF he was using meth. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/meth/body/

I have a brother who is in his late 50s that has been on and off meth (and correspondingly, also in and out of prison) pretty much his entire adult life. Last time I saw him about 8 years ago, he still had nice teeth. I also see more recent pictures of him at our mother's house and he still has seemingly nice teeth. His method of delivery of choice has always been intravenous.

Maybe he's an exception to the rule or maybe he just gets really good dental care in prison (my tax dollars at work). All that said, there is at least one meth head in the world that doesn't have rotten teeth.

Has anyone read any info on AL in his past prison experiences? I wonder if his mental condition was ever evaluated?

I was just going to post the same about the potential for damage to your teeth being prevalent no matter which way the drug is introduced into the body. Your teeth, however, won't show signs of damage (especially if you continue to take care of them when using) for many, many months.

To give you an idea of the potential mind altering side effects of the drug, my husband went on a medic call a few days ago for a man who, under the continual influence of meth, hacked off his own hand with a knife and a 2x4. There is no predicting someone's behavior when under the influence of meth. It's scary.

When are they supposed to release the Cause of Death and time of death ? I've been gone for a few days, sorta surprised that report hasn't surfaced already. Obviously they have that information, or they wouldn't have released her to the family. Anybody know ??

I thought that I read that they have sealed all the documents in this case. If that's so, there won't be any news released about cause or time of death or anything else.
