LE say they have evidence CL was JUST as involved in both kidnapping and murder. Until they state otherwise, she is no better than AL and if innocent until proven guilty than AL deserves the same respect. So does the guy thats been arrested for killing McStays and their babies. Im not on the poor CL wagon. I believe LE found enough evidence to charge her with this crime too. I want justice for BC. I have no problem with anyone knowing the defendants posting in their defense. jmo

I haven't seen anyone in the poor CL category. Even NJ said she was open to all evidence.

So am I understanding that you don't believe people are innocent until proven guilty. Many innocent people have been sent to death row.

Yeah. I think CL is just as innocent as AL.

I remember seeing this posted somewhere before AL's name was in the mix. I think someone posted it in a comment on Forbidden Hillcrest. I just tried to search Craigslist for the original post, but it doesn't go back that far anymore. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1415490604.340172.jpg

I read that this was looked into and the person that posted that ad was located and was from the Memphis area and no connection. I'll try to find a link.

I originally posted that CL post. The guy was contacted, investigated and cleared. It was just one of many fantasy posts on CL.... just incredibly coincidental.

With so little information available in this case, we could start a list of things we do know to be fact.
I'll start with a few:
1. AL was arrested for capital murder and kidnapping very quickly. The case from missing to an arrest to finding her body was super fast.
2. CL, wife of AL, was arrested quickly for theft by receiving, although we don't know for sure that it was based upon items found in this case. We assume, but don't know.
3. CL was arrested a month after AL with identical charges, but we don't know what her arrest is based on. But the time involved to make her arrest after LE said nobody else was involved, makes me think they have some hard evidence.

We do know for a fact Beverly Carter was found in a shallow grave and her phone was found in the home of AL and CL. We also know on the night of her disappearance texts were made from her phone. Anything else?

This is a VICTIM friendly forum. And their terms of service are tight to protect people who are not named person's of interest. CL and AL (and alllll of the other people that have been arrested on allll the other cases) are not even persons of interest at this point! They have been arrested for capital murder and kidnapping. And they were clear that the two of them played and EQUAL part in the crime. COuld they be innocent? Yes. That's not what this website is for- is to treat every person who has been arrested as if they are innocent. The fact of the matter is, most of the time when people are arrested, the police have it right. If we are unable to explore their alleged crimes without being told at every turn that they are innocent until proven guilty, what is the point? We get it. They are innocent until proven guilty. But here, at Websleuths, we are allowed to follow law enforcement's lead and sleuth as if they have been rightfully arrested for crimes. If they are deemed innocent, then so be it! Until then, we are allowed to sleuth their actions as if the police have not been hasty in their actions. I am sure there is a forum for people who arrested and people who sleuth to set them all free. I don't think this is that place. We sleuth to get justice for the victims of crimes. In this case, it was a victim who paid the ultimate price, her life. It is insulting when the accused are treated with more compassion and respect than BEVERLY (because she does have a name and I will never use only her initials) and her sweet family who didn't ask to be involved in any of this! Certainly, my very strong opinion only.

What we dont know
MOD
TOD
Motive
Who made the call to set Beverly up
The evidence LE have against the arrestees
The referral agent (which probably doesnt have anything to do with this)
If their may be another arrest

I will always refer to her as Beverly too, she'll never be initials to me.

I think the Carter family would appreciate your words.

I've said this before and will again: there are thousands of cases where a woman has joined her lover/husband/boyfriend in startling crimes. If she is indeed guilty, then her participation is not really shocking, given her relationship. I don't believe this was sloppy/fast police work. I believe there is solid evidence, but we all shall see.

We know that the front door of the house Beverly was showing was left wide open.

We know that her car was left at the house being shown with her purse and wallet inside. Nothing was missing from her purse.

If we assume AL was even a quasi-competent criminal (which, granted, might be extending too much benefit of doubt)... He sets a fake appt with a Realtor - ostensibly to rob her or get cash somehow, but... Why does he pick a house located in an area in clear view of the neighbors?? A vacant house makes good sense, and I admittedly DON'T know the area, but aren't there any homes more off the beaten path or maybe up private drives, hidden behind hedges, walls, not in fully developed suburban areas? Even new construction homes in latter stages of development would have guaranteed far more "privacy" from peering eyes and thus better odds of getting away with whatever was planned. Trying to figure out why that particular location was chosen by AL, given it wasn't her listing either.

I agree! The home she was the listing agent on that her relator friend locked herself out of and was calling BC about at the time she went missing was kinda in the middle of nowhere without a lot around it. Why not have her show him that home instead of the one he chose at such an odd time of the day?

I have always said I want justice. I still say there is no harm in NJ being here and others have said they appreciate her being here too. I would think if it were against any rules that she would not have been verified. I also o believe most of us here have very strong opinions, or we would not be here to begin with. Just as you won't apologize for your views, neither will I. I don't see anything that NJ has said that shows lack of compassion for Beverly.

I agree with this. NJ has been upfront about her connection to CL and has also said she had great respect for the victim. But IMO she has answered some questions and shed some light on aspects of this case that we might not learn any other way. While she has been vocal in her support of CL, I do not feel that it has intimidated anyone from also being vocal in rebuttal.

The lock box can be removed by anyone that has the lock box owners code. If it were Beverly's lock box she would have the code. I believe this was another agents listing so she most likely didn't have the code to remove the actual lock box. A code is needed to open the lock box and one to remove it. Showing agents don't have the code to remove the box.

I did some research on those electronic phone accessed lock boxes and they are extremely secure (as in very difficult to remove without the code or card to remove it.) If the home she went missing from had the updated fancy phone accessed lock box it would have taken taken a lot to remove it. Also, I read that most access codes that are given out to access properties are only good for 24 hours and then they expire at midnight.

I agree! The home she was the listing agent on in Lonoke (that her relator friend locked herself out of and was calling BC about at the time she went missing) was kinda in the middle of nowhere without a lot around it. Why not have her show him that home instead of the one he chose at such an odd time of the day?

Just another puzzle piece that doesn't connect. Just like why he would bury her at the concrete company he used to work for when there are plenty of rural areas and country roads he could have gone to. Wouldn't even a dumb criminal know that would make it even easier to connect him to the murder? He did so many things that make look it like he almost wanted to be caught.
