I agree! The home she was the listing agent on in Lonoke (that her relator friend locked herself out of and was calling BC about at the time she went missing) was kinda in the middle of nowhere without a lot around it. Why not have her show him that home instead of the one he chose at such an odd time of the day?
I thought her realtor friend was showing a home in Jacksonville? Not that it really matters...but I'm pretty sure (haven't looked back to verify) it was Jacksonville.

I will always refer to her as Beverly too, she'll never be initials to me.

Using initials is not a sign of disrespect or lack of compassion, IMO. Sometimes I am trying to put my thoughts out there as concisely and quickly as possible and get right back to the board to not miss anything someone else is posting. I don't sleuth on lots of cases on here, just ones that have touched my heart very deeply for one reason or another. I have seen many passionate member use initials to discuss victims and have never thought anything of it.

I don't think it is either of those things, either. I just prefer to call the victims by their names in order to have a reminder, sometimes, of the human that was taken from the world. I don't have a problem when people refer to her as BC.

We also know that Beverly's body was found on AL's previous employer's property.
We know that the appointment to see the property Beverly went missing from was made on September 25th.
We know that the name and telephone number for the person Beverly was going to meet, as written in her appointment book, were ficticious.

I am re-reading some of the earlier articles to see if there are bits of information I may have missed or forgotten. Where exactly is Keo? I read that some of the searchers looking for Beverly were shifted to that area once AL was in their custody.

Just like running his mouth when he was arrested. I almost believe he was telling the truth when he said he just wanted to get it over with.

You are right. Thank you for pointing that out. She (or whomever had control of her phone) said that she was in Lonoke. Still....that home was very secluded and was her listing. Seems to be a better choice if kidnap was the intent?

(I edited my original post to take Lonoke out since it was incorrect info.)

The referral agent knows if it was male or female who made that call and the call logs from the cell provider will verify whose phone the call was made on. Providing it was made from a cell. Most likely it was.

It was a lonoke county property. Kerr Station road is in Cabot and in Jacksonville.

This was a very sloppy job whatever the motive was. Texting on the victims phone, taking the phone home and keeping it after they killed the victim. (God and LE only know what may have been on icloud) Burying the body at an ex employer, stealing the dump truck. Someone had to be really high on drugs or very stupid criminals.

I did some research on those electronic phone accessed lock boxes and they are extremely secure (as in very difficult to remove without the code or card to remove it.) If the home she went missing from had the updated fancy phone accessed lock box it would have taken taken a lot to remove it. Also, I read that most access codes that are given out to access properties are only good for 24 hours and then they expire at midnight.

*deputies couldn't find the home's door lock, according to the report.*

Copied from -- http://www.arkansasonline.com/news/2014/sep/26/realtor-goes-show-house-disappears-deputies-say/

LE's report states the key was not there --
http://inmannews.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/Beverly-Carter.pdf

Saw a statement that LE found the lockbox in the truck of AL's car when he wrecked it -- do not have a link / rumor

He could have easily removed the door knob to remove the lockbox?? ... Maybe that was the reason the door was standing open?

No, I remember her saying Lonoke too. She could have meant lonoke county.

Do we know it was an agent who referred to Bev or the person who made the appt. claimed they were referred ??

Did the person making the appt. ask to see that particular property ? or maybe asked to see some homes and gave Bev a list of what they were wanting in a house?

Never thought of it this way...that maybe that house was suggested to be one to look at. It was foreclosed and a great value for the size:thinking:

JANE CARFAGNO, CO-WORKER OF MURDERED REALTOR, BEVERLY CARTER: Well, I was showing -- excuse me, that was all kind of hard to hear. I was showing

Beverly`s listing and it was in a remote area about 20 minutes out of the city, and I accidentally got locked out, and so since it was so remote, I

was a little scared and people I was showing the house to had already gone.

And so I called her and she didn`t answer and so I called her right back thinking that she might answer, knowing if I called back twice I

really need her. So she texted me back and said, with a client, call you back in a bit. And so I texted her back and I said -- I don`t know exactly

the words I used but I told her where I was, I was at her listing on Haynie Road, and that I was locked out and was there any chance she was in the

area.

And she texted back and said, in Lonoke. And then I texted her back and said, by chance there a key and she said no, sorry.

The day Beverly Carter disappeared after meeting a supposed prospective buyer at a vacant home in rural Scott, Ark., will be remembered by REALTORS® around the nation as a horrible one — a day when the real estate industry lost a star in its constellation.

But Susan Vaught chooses to remember what was good about that day — a day full of joy for Carter, 49, who was expecting to have one of her grandchildren visit for the weekend. It was around 3:30 p.m. Thursday, just hours before Carter’s fateful showing, when she and Vaught, whose offices were side-by-side at brokerage Crye-Leike’s North Little Rock branch, were talking about family.

“She was talking about how excited she was,” recalls Vaught, executive broker of Carter’s Crye-Leike office. “Her grandchildren were the highlight of her life. … It was a happy day. [Carter] had won $100 at an open house raffle — it was just a good day.”

“We have a very empty feeling in our hearts,” Vaught says of Carter’s colleagues, friends, and family. “We carry with us her memory, her love, everything she was to us.”

A Love for Real Estate

Vaught remembers Carter as one of the most highly skilled real estate professionals she had ever known. Carter came to the business 10 years ago, delving into it as a means to move on from the death of one of her three sons, who was killed in a car accident one year prior.

“Real estate was the avenue for her to get busy,” Vaught says. “But her faith as a Christian woman was her rock.”

Carter quickly became a top producer in her office, Vaught adds, calling her “the epitome of a REALTOR®.”

“She was very caring and very, very professional in dealing with every client, every colleague, every affiliate,” Vaught says. “This is a job that she loved — it wasn’t work to her. When she got to know a client, they really knew her. It was a lasting relationship that carried on for years. It was forever.”

She became very successful in real estate and was known as “the one to beat” in the office, Vaught says. “We all idolized her. Her secret was that warm, friendly person that she was.”

Despite the circumstances surrounding the end of her life, Carter took the safety of agents seriously, Vaught says. She remembers a sales meeting years ago where Carter told everyone, “Never, ever, ever get in a prospective client’s vehicle.”

More in article about Beverly too. Just my assumption that there was $100 cash in her purse that confirmed nothing had been taken.

***Communications Timeframe***
1. We know CC last spoke with BC around 5:30 pm on Thursday. She was supposed to show 1 or 2 houses to an unknown cash buyer, a referral, BC was excited about it, going to bring supper home to CC. (CC said homes to be shown were Old River Rd and Kerr Rd)

2. We know BC (or someone) was not answering calls from fellow realtor, but did send texts stating "with a client", "call you back in a bit", "in Lonoke" (from Nancy Grace interview transcript) Time frame of 7-7:30 Thursday pm.

3. We know that CC went to look for BC between 8:30 and 9:00 PM at 14202 Old River Road, Scott, AR. CC Jr went to look at her office around 9 pm. CC found BC's car, purse in car. CC found house door wide open, searched the house. Police were called shortly after 9 pm.

4. We know texts were sent to CC from BC phone around 1 a.m. Fri. stating "yes", "sorry phone been dead" and last text read "having drinks right now" Texts were reported as coming in back to back or all at once.

Please correct me if anything is incorrect and I will edit.

If this all came down around 6 o'clock and they were getting Beverly out of that house she could have been dead by the time Jane was texting with her if she was killed right away.

Yall probably read this about CL, but I copied it from yahoo news

"Obviously, there is evidence that links her to the crime but the case and its documents have been placed under seal by the court," said Lieutenant Carl Minden, public affairs officer for the Pulaski County Sheriff’s department.

When asked what kind of role authorities believe Lowery played in Carter's death, PCSO spokesman Lt. Carl Minden said the fact she was charged with the same capital murder and kidnapping chargers as her husband is evidence that authorities believe both parties to be equally involved.

So, I am just watching his interviews for the first time. In part 2, the news anchor says "one of the first things he talked about was the string of crimes he committed in the past." Look at him talk about his crimes with such pride! He is smiling the entire time he is reliving his glory days and all the people and places he stole from.
