I do believe the part about AL calling Cl to come to the hospital the sunday he wrecked -- I do not believe she was questioned by LE at the hospital--- I suspect she picked AL up , outside..

I could be wrong...and I'll double check this later. But I believe that LE called CL telling her that AL had been in a wreak and was at the hospital....not AL

Just to clarify...she went into the hospital and spoke with LE...as to weather or not she "picked him up outside" I have no idea.

She was informally questioned by LE at the hospital. LE also asked her for her phone at the hospital which she gave to them. I read somewhere that someone said that the police took her phone from her that Monday when she was arrested....but they actually took it from her that Sun. am at the hospital.

After CLs first arrest while the daughter was waiting to be picked up by family...LE took the daughters phone and had it for 3-4 hours. They gave it back to her when she was picked up by family.

I wonder how CL functioned without a phone as far as completing the crime. Maybe by the time she was at the hospital poor BC was already dead and it was pretty much over. Do we know if she even picked him up? How would she locate him? And if she picked him up, makes me wonder why he was in West Little Rock on Green Mtn. Dr. when he was seen, 911 called, and apprehended by LE. I wonder if he ran off before she could pick him up. Or I guess it's possible she could have used BCs phone to contact him or got a pay as you go phone and called him.

Yeah...that probably came off as sounding snarky. I just read how this person was "helping CL financialy" and that made my blood boil. My bad!

Butler it's very stressful on everyone right now. I'm sure you are under tremendous stress. I see no reason for any of us on this board to go at each other. Hopefully, all of us are here for the truth and to see justice served for the victim, Beverly Carter and her family. You don't have to agree with someone to like them or be cordial to them. Appreciating that all of us may have differences of opinions does not mean you are giving up your own convictions.

I think it shows class to accept that others have feelings too and that those feelings may not reflect our own. I'm not saying this directly to you Butler but to everyone on this board. I have always said that if CL is guilty I will be the first to say she deserves to be punished. I knew BC too and this has sent chills down my spine thinking about what she may have gone through the last few hours of her life. My heart breaks for her family. Today is their first Thanksgiving without her.

Instead of everyone going at each other over differences of opinions why don't we all stop and say a prayer for the victim and her family and for all of those who may be hurting due to this situation.

Let's all agree to disagree in a way that is not distrustful or hurtful to others on this board. Nobody else here is accused of a crime, only CL and AL. There is no reason for us to be suspicious of others here or their intentions until they prove us wrong. Not agreeing with someone does not make them the enemy.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. May each of you enjoy your day with family and remember how blessed we all are to live in a free country.

Thank you. I just wish people could remember that not agreeing with someone does not make them a bad person.

We need to all be thankful that we live in a country with a legal system which offers a fair trial to everyone. Some of those people may not deserve a fair trial but that is how our system is designed and it's the best in the world.

I know most people here obviously believe CL is guilty. I respect your opinion and convictions. I am reserving my final judgment until I see the evidence and ask that you respect my right to do so. I admit it looks bad right now and gives pause to even those who know her.

It's easy to abandon someone in a situation like this. It would be easy for me to walk away, go on with my life, and never post here again but my convictions will not allow. I want to find the truth in all this but I am my own person who will not be swayed by rumors or media frenzy. I will wait for the real evidence to come out at trial.

I will speculate as to why she is on these charges but I dont know anything for a fact. I understand this is all surreal to you and don't think any of this will make any sense at all to you until the evidence comes out against her. I respect that you dont believe she could do anything like this. If something like this ever hit one of my family members I just wouldnt believe it either until I heard the case in court. I do understand. I am angry at CL because I think she used you. But that will be something you will have to figure out yourself and you aren't at that place yet. Its ok. I get it. You seem like a nice person with a good heart and the only thing you might be guilty of is being such a good friend and caring so much. I think Beverly Carter was the target. Locals have said she was on billboards. Her fb profile pic and other pics Ive seen she looked like a very classy lady. AL could have interpreted that as rich. So he came up with this plan that she would be kidnapped for a fat sum of money and dropped off somewhere. Whether the ransom was asked for we dont know. Either way, things moved so fast. 4 hrs later LE was already on the case and media broke the story soon after. At that point the plan fell through. She became a liability to them. I think the kidnapping was premeditated but murder wasnt part of the original plan.And I believe that was the accident that AL referred too. jmo

My theory is basically the same with the exception to her becoming a liability to "them" (at least I disagree here if them is CL and AL). I think AL panicked and killed her. I'm still confused about the two vehicles at the house where the kidnapping took place. I do not believe CL was there. She was at clinicals so she could not be two places at one time. Where did this other vehicle come from? Is this another rumor or someone thinking they saw something they didn't? The truck is a mystery to me. The car that was there sounds like it belonged to AL. I do not agree with those who have posted here that AL stole vehicles to commit this crime. There have been no local reports of this at all.

Obviously as others have stated he was not a smart criminal but I don't think he set out to kill Beverly. I do think it was some crazy scam he came up with in his mind for fast cash.

Some friends have recently told me that this was not the only evidence of this type of behavior in response to AL's cheating. Apparently there are local women who had similar experiences on a face to face basis with AL and CL. Something I never knew about until I was told a few days ago. Have been unable to confirm it as fact so for now it's just another rumor. I'm going to try to check it out this week.
