I don't know the cost of meth, but I wouldn't think either CL or AL could afford it or any other drug. Both were not employed. I really don't know how they could have even been paying rent or had money for gas and cell phones.
It did alarm me CL was drug tested in 2009 in the custody case. 2009 was LONG before AL came into the picture.

I don't either (know the cost) but it does seem a lot of low/no income people are addicted to it so, like most street drugs, there are probably cut versions available for much less. I would imagine the big fights the neighbors reported hearing were largely around money, since both seemed to harbor the idea that they each deserved to have someone else work in order to pay their way in life. But there were plenty of other things for the two of them to argue about also....

I believe this was AL idea too.
Kidnapping charge= kidnapped or held against will. So LE believe she did one or both of these things.

I don't get why CL stopped going to nursing school after AL was arrested. Plus...she claimed LE was watching her. I would think she would've wanted to keep things rolling along as normal as not to raise any red flags to LE.

IDK. Even if I weren't involved Id want to just go hide somewhere and die from embarrassment if my husband was arrested for murder. Even if she weren't involved this is a lot of stress and drama. How could you even focus on school and nursing classes are hard. I can think of alot of reasons with none of them pointing to guilt or innocence to drop out and go back later on.

One thing I'm having trouble piecing together on the theories that have CL as either the instigator or in on it since the beginning... is that she had lived over 40 years without (at least getting caught for) committing any crimes thus far. She was embarking on a new nursing career. Had a teenage daughter she apparently loved. Had very bad judgement especially in men. But when you put her historical timeline against ALs with a lifetime of crime, it doesn't seem to add up that CL would suddenly be the one plotting a kidnapping or murder and bringing AL into the mix. Just by observing a lifetime of patterns of the behaviors of each. CL jumping into such major crime at this stage of her life, even with serious money problems, doesn't feel logical to me when you have ALs track record sitting there.

I can imagine him drawing her into it, and my thinking is that would more likely be later when he had to, rather than at the first stage. But can't see great odds of her as the mastermind or instigator of this scheme. UNLESS... the need for instant cash was such a dire emergency and had some bearing on her ability to keep her daughter - if the only way were to prove to a court that she had the means to support or some such thing. All just speculation of course! But I'm leaning towards AL either willingly or inadvertently having to bring her in after the first blunder in the plans.

Custody of CLs daughter was not at risk/threatened until after ALs arrest. Crystals ex filed for emergency custody based on the fact that his daughter's step father had been arrested for capital murder..... So the theory that crystal needed immediate cash to pay for an attorney in a custody case doesn't make since.

For the record.... The daughter when talking to the aunt never used the word "meth, methamphetamine, speed" or anything of the sort. What she did say was that AL had been "acting weird lately" described behaviors like "staying up for 4-5 days at a time then sleeping for days at a time " these statements sounded like possible drug use, but could also be someone who is bipolar and manic... Or a variety of different mental health issues. The daughter never said she witnessed AL or CL actually using drugs.

AL changed his story and indicated he didnt kidnap her because she went willingly. (no way). But in Joella's case, she knew the perp and did get in the car willingly and went to his house. When she got ready to leave him and wifey wouldnt let her and held her in a cage for 2 months. Both Ricky and the wife are in jail on kidnapping charges.

True, I get all that but with AL in jail she for sure wouldn't have any income (not that she ever had any from him that amounted to much except the money he received from the lawsuit) and I'm sure her student loan money stopped when she quit school. How was she going to be able to support her daughter? Child support $'s probably wouldn't have even covered rent or groceries expenses, let alone cheer gym.
What the heck was she doing the whole month before she was arrested? She evidently was down to dire straits since she was selling household items online. Maybe she figured the daughter would be living with the dad and she'd just sell everything and move in with the ex-boyfriend?

After his arrest he did a jail house interview which is on line. You can google and find it. He insinuated in the interview it couldnt be kidnapping because she went willingly and the house was just a meeting place. (MO he was hinting at an affair). A month later CL was arrested for kidnapping and murder also. This week formal charges were filed against both of them without any reduction in charges and it was released that BC was found bound in duct tape.:( Also BC phone was found on a dresser on top of CL dirty underwear. Thats pretty much the highlights. Both are due in court Monday.

Thank you. :)

We also have 2 verified insiders on this case. We have Butler321 which knows the kids father and CL and Nojustice which knows CL.

Back to Beverly's cell phone being found by LE Sunday. Someone help me understand this...
CL was charged with theft by receiving for BC phone, right? She could be charged with that just for it being in her home? Or did they possibly find her fingerprints on the phone?

  • #375
Also on the subject of phones, we've been told CL phone was taken by LE Sunday p.m. Maybe they have texts or calls to CL phone from AL while he was stealing the dump truck and on the run Sunday through Monday?
ETA: Or maybe they had a home phone?
Or maybe I've had too much cold and cough medicine and need a nap? lol

Don't forget she was arrested at the same time, on the stolen property charge. In most schools the sooner you withdraw, the better, so she may have decided to pull out knowing she would have trouble with attendance and grades due to the situation.

I can tell just by looking at AL that he's a meth user, no question. I work with addicts all the time. I don't think CL has the look of a habitual user but won't be surprised to find out she used recreationally, especially while with AL. She seemed pretty serious about school and you definitely can't succeed in nursing school if you're doing drugs.

Al said on his fb that he would do anything for this woman. (CL). I wonder if he showered her with gifts (and all of them stolen.)? IIRC one of his videos was how to disable the alarms on tags.

It's very cheap, as little as 10 dollars and it's fairly easy to make and prevalent in Arkansas, unfortunately.
Heroin, believe it or not, is also on the rise here.

People ask why she quit nursing school. In most states if you have any convictions other than traffic violations you are not able to obtain a nursing license (or you have to jump through a lot of hoops if it's a misdemeanor) if you have a felony they won't let you sit for the boards. Was this possession of the phone charge a felony? If so.... That could be why she stopped going to nursing school.
