brutalizing him to get him to
cooperate with the investigation.
In his court filings, he
said deputies denied him treatment
for bleeding injuries, including
ones he suffered in a
Sept. 28 car wreck while under
police surveillance.
Lewis claims in the suit that
sheriff’s investigators also denied
him access to his lawyer
when he asked to consult with
one and threatened to shoot
him if he didn’t cooperate. The
officer told him the shooting
would be explained away as
a response to Lewis trying to
escape, according to the suit.
The sheriff’s office has not
responded to the lawsuit. It
was filed Nov. 20, then updated
Dec. 2.

He must think he's the only person ever interrogated by law enforcement. These people know what the laws are. He wasn't bleeding either time he did the perp walk around the time of arrest. The only blood was from the wreck and he was taken by ambulance to the hospital. Dumb arse.

Lawdy! This dude is on a roll with writing letters and a suing frenzy! He's a mental train wreck waiting to happen. I have a feeling all of this is going to get pretty "western" before it's over! Where's Marshall Matt Dillon and Festus when we need 'em?

I would think LE videoed or tape recorded his whole interrogation. He probably doesn't have a leg to stand on in that case. Next step will probably be to sue for falsely arresting Crystal?

What friends did she tell she worked there until July or August? Do you have a link? I know she never told me when she quit her job. I know she was in college this summer which IF I remember started June. She was in nursing school full time since August. As far as actual date she stopped working I was never called up by her and told "hey I quit my job today". I just remember her going back to school.

I had assumed she didn't quit until she went back to school but I could be 100% wrong. I'm sure if her resume says May then she quit in May which would make sense due to summer school starting last of May first part of June.

You mentioned several times that she was gainfully employed, worked full-time, etc. until August. Here is one:

No she did not start school in Jan 2014. She went to a few summer classes this past summer and started nursing school this fall (august). She worked full time until august 2014.

I agree with her having a very good job until Augof this year. She did lead a normal life until AL. Everyone tried to warn her. I do not however think she could be manipulated into anything like this because by the time all this happened she was only adamant about one thing….getting AL out of her house and getting away from him. This much I do know from my conversations with her prior to BC murder.

She was gainfully employed full time until recently when she went back to school. She had student loans. AL was supposed to have a job and contribute while she was in school.

Perhaps I shouldn't have bothered to respond but I want to make it clear to you that I was not putting words into your mouth. She may not have lied to you about her employment but for some reason you told us she worked until August. I may have unreasonably expected something like going to work would come up in conversations between two close friends.

Only after I heard about what she put on her application for indigent status did I ask for clarification.

You want the truth. I want facts on which to base an informed opinion. There is no reason those two things must be mutually exclusive.

I noticed that you posted that CL's parents are both in law enforcement. It would be interesting to know what they think about all of this. I get the impression there was not much of a relationship since you weren't aware of that until recently. Would that be an accurate assumption? Were they also assisting her in preparing her defense?

As always, I appreciate any insight you can provide into your friend's good character.

Arkansas Democrat-Gazette story today states that AL wrote to the paper and they quoted him. It's subscription only online and in print. Here's the first mention of it: “Facing capital murder
charges are very serious and
I cannot have a person on my
defense team that may have
their own agenda,” Lewis
wrote in a three-page letter to
the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
this week. He did not
elaborate on that remark,
but complained that Hensley
wants him to stop communicating
with the media and “be
a role model inmate.”

Something else that I just found out from another friend yesterday that has spoken to CL's family is that CL's mother and father are long time LE. She grew up in a house with cops for parents.

He's suing in Federal Court. Documents for federal cases are available at Pacer.com for a fee. I have an account there and will see what I can do about getting this later today. I have a couple of other cases of people I know that I'm following on Pacer and ran up a bill last quarter so I try to only go on there occasionally. I'll go on there after 5 today so I can get updated info for the week and I'll try to find his case.

I called that one last night didn't I? Many more to come. Also predicted he would be on a sue spree so they better follow by the book with him in jail and the trial. I wonder if he meant in and out of prison for the past 13 years, which would be true. He was 17 when he got his first felony. Sounds like he is bragging.
