From the article in #782 -
" denied him treatment
for bleeding injuries, including
ones he suffered in a
Sept. 28 car wreck while under
police surveillance
"

Again, just thinking out loud. He possibly got a booboo when he tried to escape the LEO when he was at the apt complex and iirc jumped out the window?

"denied
him access to his lawyer
when he asked to consult with
one and threatened to shoot
him if he didn’t cooperate. The
officer told him the shooting
would be explained away as
a response to Lewis trying to
escape
, according to the suit."

This also bbm, most likely have been when he was apprehended at the apartment complex. And very well was said. That would jmho be the only place where he would be able to escape or that LEO would be shooting. Inside a building they have too many safeguards in place to shoot, unless the individual has a gun and fixing to shoot. I would love to read the actual filing, to see the full context of these statements. We know how media, giving bits of the report, but when put all together comes out different. (as I read reports saying LOCK missing from house, Deputy Purifoy saying KEY in HIS report, to me is 2 diff things, but may not be, just diff words, and we don't know what the other officers on scene reports state)

Again, not defending just thinking out loud

If you read his actual complaints about the sherriffs office, you can see where he claims to have such unjust treatment. He is very detailed about every thing every person did wrong to him.

Also, I hate to re-open this can of worms, but I just want to be able to put it to rest. This article here states that she was wearing red capri pants, not shorts:

"Mrs Carter, who works for the Crye-Leike real estate company in Little Rock, was last seen wearing a black, sleeveless shirt and red capri pants. I know it was discussed but thought the capri pants were only corrected by co-workers. here it is, in internet print! ;)

Take this publication with a grain of salt. It's in the UK. Where do they get their news? I think they glean it from message boards and online news articles and mesh it all together. This is not a newspaper, yet it's allowed to be quoted here.

I called that one last night didn't I? Many more to come. Also predicted he would be on a sue spree so they better follow by the book with him in jail and the trial. I think I have psychic abilities and wasnt aware of it. lol But really. He is predictable. He hasnt reached the nasty stage yet with CL but it is coming.

LOL oh I agree. Hey.. just thinking. Since he can't as an inmate communicate with another inmate ... could he if he is doing so as say the divorce... in the capacity of filing pro se? He asked for trial on that complete with a transport order ;) , as well as being able to get discovery.

Him saying he would testify for CL... again could be way of saying he doesn't want her to testify against him. He smart like a fox and I sure the Pros are on it- especially with him suing the State Prison and Winning. But he is def playing mind games ... will have to watch... he will try and be very careful not to slip. Again I have faith in the legal system...Have to til proven otherwise

I just can't understand his thinking..... Who cares about Beverly Carter.... I deserve the right to poop with privacy and peace and quiet!!! There are no words to describe the absurdity of this!

News flash Aaron Lewis... from the time my first child was born until my second child was about 6 years old I never took one poop or shower alone in peace in quite. That's 11 years of having someone come watch me poop while telling me to hurry up.

This sense of entitlement that he seems to have makes me wonder... Is this whining and complaining "I've been mistreated" claim simply a ploy for control over his situation? As a way to control others? Is it for money? Attention? Or does he actually believe that despite murdering an innocent woman that he deserves to be treated better than others...Because he is somehow superior to others. Psychologically... It's fascinating. Don't get me wrong... I think he's a disgusting human being.... But fascinating.

He'll probably be found insane and she (presumably) won't have the same excuse.

But can he be found insane if he refuses to take the mental exams? Lol I mean, since his plea was innocent by reason of mental defect (wasn't that how he pled, then then his attorney asked for the evals?) So now the judge has said AL doesn't have to take the eval and things will proceed. If I am wrong please lol let me know I don't want to get on wrong wave of thinking. I wonder if when they have the court hearing in Feb, if because of not wanting to do the exams, would the judge or could the judge have him change his plea?

I hope this is a no nonsense judge or this is going to carry on for way, way longer than it should. In February it will be like starting over for his part of the hearing because he'll have to change his plea or go for psych eval, he is trying to fire his attorney, so there will either be a new one or he'll want to argue about this one. If they are wanting to try him first and her second she's going to spend a LONG time in county jail. My understanding is that prison is better than county jail. Not sure about if you are in for murder, but I do know that murderers and rapists are allowed to participate in programs such as Paws in Prison. NOT when they first arrive at prison though. And I know that with that program they have to be good inmates without any disciplinary problems. But I don't think jail has education programs, law libraries, etc. I read somewhere, probably rumor, that AL got beat up in jail, but once at prison he's in a cell alone on lockdown 23 hours a day. He's got too much time on his hands with paper and pen, IMO. Geez. He's probably written the Governor, President of the US, Congressmen, CNN, HLN, et al.

I can see it now--- the next suing case will be for the pain he has from carpel tunnel syndrome or writer's cramps and once again...no medical attention. Oh brother! *facepalm*

Could be all 3. I betcha he'll try to use the prison employees allowing that reporter to interview him somehow, too. He was too crazy to be allowed to do that & it's their fault for allowing him to poison the jury pool, yada-yada.

Yep. And poor old AL he was just trying to tell his side of story. He didn't know it was against the rules. Prison let him do the interview, LEO allowed it to be broadcast 3 separate nights. I can hear him, how if the Prison allowed it. I cant remember if 3 resigned or if 1 but iirc there was possibly 3 employees in trouble. At least Prison can show they did reprimand the employees, but I seriously have issues how it happen in first place. There is going to be or should be, a lot of "I" dotting and "t" crossing. ADOC has had a lot of screw ups this year.. at least a prison breaks..

Two were in trouble at first. One resigned. It was their public information person who was on the news all the time. I'm not sure how the warden didn't get fired, or forced to resign, but he didn't. Funny thing that a warden of a prison's last name is Outlaw. Yep, that's him.

Next thing you know he'll be suing Websleuths for all of us talking bad about him. :behindbar

I keep telling you guys he's far more intelligent than any of us are giving him credit. I would never have expected such penmanship, grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc. from him. He may be crazy intelligent, but I say he's VERY far from illerate or plain stupid.

I said this from the start, and everyone thought I was crazy but you don't win a lawsuit against a prison like he did, and not have some intelligence. I mean they didn't even fight him, and settled out of court. That is unreal to me. I wonder if he took classes while incarcerated. He has better penmanship and grammatical skills than most adults.

So basically he wants to get rid of his court appointed attorney (and he probably wants off this case asap too with an "Im not crazy" client.) And he is seeking attention hoping a high profile attorney will take his case. Maybe he wants JB since he can get people off murder. He is saying that LE forced him into a confession by threatening him. Did they also force him into doing the prison interview where he changed his story and still places himself at the vacant house?

His attorney was NOT court appointed.

Machiado, you've been way too quiet! ;) What's your take on AL's latest letter writing and filing complaints?

  • #877
I've been lurking and reading everything. I think what the rest of you think, I guess - he is deluded to think he is better than a qualified lawyer at defending himself. He doesn't trust anyone. He is controlling. He craves attention. He is not dumb. I don't know what education he has gotten - maybe GED or more in various juvie (speculation on whether he was ever in juvie) or prison stays - but he can be logical in his own twisted way, uses good grammar, spells reasonably well, is able to find templates for his legal filings, etc.

I would assume that *if* they really did take AL out and through three counties that they must have some private way out. The reporters were camped out there, so if he came out through the door when he did his perp walks he would have been seen.

Who wants to bet the fan mail will start pouring in for him, along with some commissary money as well. That seems to have been true for every public case, so far.

NJ, if you're still here.....did you know CL gave AL money in jail in October before her arrest?

NO!!!!! But she knew I would not approve of such! And to be honest it pisses me off even as I read it tonight. Can I say piss or is that in violation of TOS? If so please delete Mods. Sorry!

First I've heard of the jump from the 3rd floor, too. Wonder what that's all about? (Not that I believe it).

About the videotaping at the Cat's Meow....too bad Kildare's in Philly doesn't have that....maybe we'd know what state Shane Montgomery was actually in.

And a question...is the Sheriff's name really Doc Holladay??? Is he being smart by calling him that??

His name is Doc Holladay. It's Arkansas you know? Ha Ha
