LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Police say a man suspected of bursting into the Arkansas Democratic Party headquarters and shooting the party chairman has died.

Police say the suspect burst into the office of Party Chairman Bill Gwatney and fired three shots. Gwatney is hospitalized in critical condition.

Gwatney passed away at the hospital. Evidently the man who shot him was upset over losing his job..

Arkansas Democratic Party Chairman Bill Gwatney died today, hours after a shooting at the state party's headquarters, police said. The suspect was shot by police after a chase and also later died, officials said. Former President Clinton and Sen. Still another senseless shooting by a lunatic.

However, they said that moments after the shooting he pointed a handgun at the building manager at the nearby the Arkansas Baptist headquarters. He told the manager "I lost my job," said Dan Jordan, a Baptist convention official.

We sure hear a lot about shootings that are linked to someone that just lost their job (if this is what's going on here). We live in a frightening world. Used to be when you lost your job, you went looking for a new one. These days people head to a mall or an office and start shooting. I don't get it.
