How could someone be so cruel? If they weren't full term how about going to hospital ....
.... or is this a concealed pregnancy and the person in question was frightened?
I just feel if the babies were loved / wanted than they wouldnt have ended up in a suitcase. But maybe Im wrong.
Do we know the genders?

Does AR have Safe Haven Laws?
Yes: https://safehavenlaws.uslegal.com/arkansas-safe-haven-laws/
However, LE has not released the cause of death. We don't know if they were murdered, abandoned to die in the suitcase or died of natural causes (Every option has me::tears.
Yes, each and every option is just awful.
I'm leaning more to were left to die. Only because it seems to coincidental for two babies to die when their mother was planning to abandon them like that anyway.
That is just my opinion about it. I may be completely wrong. For all I know, Mom might not be safe either.
Yes, I'm trying REALLY HARD not to judge mom because we don't know the situation. We don't know if they were born in a hospital with the best medical care or if they were born at home or on the streets. While really viable at the gestation they were born-- that viability number quoted up thread is probably if born in a hospital with people who know how to take care of preterm infants. We also don't know who put them in the suitcase. Mom could be a minor, victim of domestic violence or trafficked and not in a safe situation herself. These babies could have been taken from her. She needs to be found first to make sure she is safe. Then, if the investigation found these babies died from violence or neglect at her hands the law can take care of her.
Or if she simply abandoned them. I do wish that Safe Haven Laws were more known about.
Yes, that would be a form of neglect, IMO, by abandoning them to die in a suitcase on the side of the road. I'm surprised that when I looked up safe haven laws they only started in 1999: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Safe-haven_law
I thought the laws had been around a lot longer than that. Everyone should know they can safely give up their babies if they can't care for them but if someone is a child themselves when they give birth or not from the US they may not know that.
