The Hot Springs Village Police have confirmed that a body has been found during a search involving over three hundred volunteers this morning.

Investigators say it is too early in the investigation to confirm the identity.

Bless those search crews. Job well done. I wonder how many of em belonged to the HSV PD? And whether they were on duty or volunteering.

I also wonder how far from the car that the body was found. I'm going to guess that the car was found closer to Jessieville/HSV.

As the crow flies, it is 4.24 miles from the Rota Ln address to the intersection of Hwy 298 and W Main Haul Rd, according to Google Earth. Not sure the route from the party or Rota Ln to W Main Haul Rd. Say 8-10 miles?

A body was recovered this morning during an organized search near Jessieville, Arkansas for a missing police dispatcher.

Laroy Cornett, the Public Safety Director for Hot Springs Village, says a body believed to be that of Dawna Natzke was found in a pond about 5 miles from where the charred remains of Natzke's vehicle were found last week. "We're not entirely certain that it is our missing employee, but there is only one missing persons case in this area. We are certainly going on the assumption that it is Mrs. Natzke."

The body was found south of HWY 298 off West Main Haul Road, approximately .8 mile south of 298 near a pond's edge. The pond was approximately 1 mile east of the Duck home. The clothing on the remains matched those of described by witnesses of her apparel at the Christmas Party immediately preceding her disappearance. Many thanks to the volunteer efforts of over 400 people who showed up this morning at Jessieville School. Please keep Dawna's friends and family in your prayers. May justice be done.

BBM This is certainly within walking distance to KD's home. But, the burned-out car was found in the opposite direction from his home. I wonder if KD has a bike or motorcycle, and there was a bike rack on Dawna's car. One website linked here did state KD had an ATV. Wonder if he still has one; and what kind of hauler would someone use on the back of a car to tow one?

Some articles have claimed that Dawna was supposed to return to the party to give her mother a ride home. I haven't seen a confirmation that that did occur. My thinking is that Dawna never made it back to the party.

IMO, if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it is a DUCK!

Their relationship doesn't make any sense to me, either. When you hear about that kind of age discrepancy, you look for daughters in the picture. She doesn't have any, nor does she have small sons - her sons are grown and are football players.

She does have more standing and money than he does, she has a nice house and a car. I just don't see the attraction either way - why a social, established woman with a lot of friends and an established career and a nice house would go for this guy, and why he would go for her.

The articles I read at first referred to KD as her live-in BF. Now we've learned that he lives with his parents in Jessieville. Although he's referred to as her BF, I wonder if she was more of a motherly figure to him, trying to guide him onto the right side of the law. In college, I knew a retired school teacher who befriended a man half her age. She was divorced and her ex-husband dated younger women, so she would joke that her young friend was her BF. That's what I thought of when I read your comments and would be innocent enough on her part, although subject to a lot of rumor and speculation.

On KD's part, maybe he felt somewhat invincible to prosecution if he did get into trouble, because he had "connections" in LE. JMO

Debbie Shingler, whose 46-year-old sister Dawna Natzke was last seen leaving a Dec. 21 Christmas party with her boyfriend, told The Associated Press that police notified her family that searchers found a body in a wilderness area about five miles from her home in Hot Springs Village and about five miles from where her burned-out car was found.

We're back to Dawna leaving the Christmas party WITH KD.

Her divorce case was filed on April 26, 2011 by her husband according to court documents. It doesn't look to be finalized yet either. I don't think we know how long she might of been seeing this BF guy or if she might have been seeing him on the side when she was still married and that is the reason for the divorce. Perhaps she was on the rebound and that explains the strange circumstances with the age difference. Maybe she is just a cougar and likes a younger man that can keep her up all night. (I think you get the point)

Some women just go for the bad boy type too. Maybe she met him though her work. (jail)

And what guy that doesn't seem to have much wouldn't want a sugar momma to take care of him?

I have seen a lot of middle-aged women get caught up with "bad men" (for lack of a better way to put it). It seems that most of these women have low self-esteem and are drawn to "bad men" because they know how to sweet talk women and make them feel good. There have been a handful of cases in my area where women who work in prisons get caught up with prisoners and either lose their job because they are caught having sex with them or they let the prisoner move in with them once they are released and the prisoner takes them for all they are worth. People like this know how to spot a woman with low self-esteem and they know exactly what to say to the woman to make her trust them, then that allows the woman to be taken advantage of. Sad situation and it is possible this is what happened with Dawna.
