I think one of the possible crimes she committed was bank robbery, but didn't that come from the bf? Anyway, if true, it's a pretty serious crime.

That's the thing--EDJD was moving a mile a minute; what are the chances she merely heard about a seemingly random robbery gone wrong on a trucker in Oklahoma? As with McAlphin, I believe that EDJD would occasionally garnish the yarns she'd spin with nuggets of Truth. If she was involved in the McCorkindale murder, it would explain why she was constantly on the move, and involved in an unorthodox "underground" world. I think one thing that would really help clear the air here is to determine for certain if McAlphin--or any of the previous boyfriends/pimps(?)--ever owned a brown Ford Pinto. It was this vehicle that was supposedly harassing truckers for a period of time in Oklahoma before the McCorkindale murder, and one trucker supposedly had a woman--presumably EDJD--even try to force her way into the truck's cab.

Someone upthread had just mentioned this, and I concur: I suspect EDJD has a child or children--this being another telling example of Truth being interspersed within the neverending lies. For this reason, it would be good to actually have her name, especially if her children are (or will one day be) looking for her.

I agree with all of this the only thing I'm shaky on is the fact that it was mentioned that this blonde woman associated with the DM murder apparently looked like an addict and strung out... Although I'm sure that it was also said that she was in some sort of rehab at some point so maybe she was sober ish when she died but was a previous user...

Petty criminals very often use a bunch of aliases. Giving a different name each time they’re arrested - often an off the cuff name - is not unusual.

This looks a bit like her, I can see why they compared. I also find it a bit concerning though because it seems like they’re not closing in on the genetic genealogy search if they’re still checking random missing persons as possible matches

I have a massive tree for her going in ancestry and I see so much resemblance of her in those that are one to two degrees removed as well.

Incredible that that information has been discerned courtesy these new forensic tools in use. Just like EAR/ONS was identified, so too will EDJD have her name back.

My gut says McAlphin knows Her real name, but one can't expect anything but garbage from a bottomfeeding, well-documented liar.

So if this were my cousins' paternal family being approached, they'd have no clue about her, who her mother was, or how she came to be. They know now, but only very recently, thanks to family DNA sites. And her bio father had already passed, not knowing she existed.

I'm not related to EDJD, this is my own personal story I've shared previously on this thread. This was just to point out how it's possible EDJD's paternal family may not know who she is if her father and his family didn't know she existed. Which is what happened to my cousin, the result of a deliberate one night stand my aunt had in order to have another baby, until family DNA changed that recently.

NamUs has a list of ruleouts. They don't list automatic ruleouts, though. So if both the MP & UP have DNA in CODIS, they're considered a rule out because they'd have matched otherwise. That's what we've been told.

From a physical once-over, I just don't see how this ISN'T Anita. That nose. Not many women are that tall. They have the same eye color. They seem to have the same teeth anomalies. How full or not a face looks really doesn't matter. Even EDJD looks different from herself depending on the photograph. Also, drugs and that lifestyle take a toll. Supposedly, Anita's relative may have spoken to her on the phone in 1984, not 1994. It sounds like a lot of women who fall prey to pimps and sexual exploitation and think they can't come home. Surely, this has all been said before in this thread, but I'm new to this case and initially saw a side by side photo and assumed it was solved because they are so clearly the same person (to me). With the Jock & Jane Doe case, Websleuth's was making the connection to Pamela Buckley before it was announced.

Ok, I couldn't stand it! I've submitted Anita Qvist her to Namus and copied in Det Cathy Phillips (although I got a bounceback saying her inbox is full so forwarded to the general ED PD email address).

Full credit to @Two for the Road and the rest of you for this find.

ETA: Anita is not on the rule out list. Maybe she could not be excluded?

Anita has been in NamUs for 3 years now. I'm not finding her in Doe Network. We have no way of knowing if the two cases have been compared because NamUs no longer tells us an MP's DNA status. DN does, but she's not in there, unless I missed it.
But if they were compared by CODIS, and not manually, they wouldn't show up on each other's rule out lists, it would just be assumed they were compared and weren't a match. I don't even think NamUs will tell us anymore if Anita has been ruled out for this EDJD due to privacy. Nothing says someone can't submit Anita as a potential match, but I think it's already been done.

She won't be on the rule out list if it were an automatic comparison, they only list manual comparisons. To put every rule out on the list would be too time consuming, there are so many. That's what I was told by NamUs.
There are exceptions, like the one they made for Patricia Salamandyk, who is Canadian and the database is only for folks who've gone missing in the US, when she was finally ruled out for Marcia King (Buckskin girl).
