Respectfully snipped by borndem.

Taken from 'cox's footnote by borndem:

"Collins/Cook casemap created by hollye https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid...406effc9c7306f "

O/T, please excuse

'cox, I just took the opportunity to read this amazing & very helpful time&place/line -- Full of information, thorough and I'm sure painstaking work by hollye. Many thanks to hollye and to you, 'cox.

OT as well. Hollye's map and timeline is pretty awesome and has been a great resource for those who follow that case. I wish we could see resolution on that one. One family devastated by not one but two missing children.

What was the deal with the Mountain Dew pants? Did someone see him walking around that night in the neighborhood wearing those pants or did they actually find the pants in the house where Jersey was?

I think he intended to take Jersey from the home and rape her and I don't think her death was any kind of accident at all. Guys like this know, when things "go too far", that if they don't kill the victim, the sick thing they did will come out. That's one reason I think her death was no accident. The other reason is that guys like this often just kill their victims because it's part of a the "thrill" to them. Sick, disgusting pigs.

I don't know what fuels such monsters, but taking the breath and life from the beautiful beings they just brutalized is all part of the sick "fun" they have with their playthings.

I will never buy the "Lenny" argument when it comes to a sick f*$& that can do this to a child - that can go into a home, take a baby, rape her and then kill her. No way.

Well said, gitana. Oh, so very sad and unfathomable.

I find it interesting and of course heartening that so many of us are speaking out with a few somewhat different theories of how this crime occurred, but more of our words are similar rather than different. We all decry how horrible, inhuman, unfair, and just plain wrong what this sick f*(% did to this little girl/big sister who was bringing smiles to everyone she saw. Had she, in full belief I would say, written her letter to Santa Claus yet? Did she know the story of the Baby Jesus who would've noticed her and her family, I would think?

And what of this pathetic excuse for protoplasm who lived next door to her? How did he feel about what he had done, beyond knowing it would get him in trouble and knowing he needed to cover his tracks? Was he sorry for those people beyond himself? Did he wish he had not done it? Did he know he had robbed himself of his human-ness when he robbed her of her sweet last night's sleep and the very breaths she was trying to take while enduring unbelievable pain? Did he even care? Knowing and/or understanding this is in a realm beyond my understanding, TG. Grrrrrrrr.

Thanks for the info Elley Mae -

Great news! So glad Prosecutor Stone is sockin' it to him. We'll see what penalties he is going to charge -- death or LWOP.

If anyone knows anything about his attorney, I'd love to hear it. And the same with the prosecutor. Holly doesn't have a leg to stand on, IMO, unless it's mental weakness, low IQ, etc. I have wondered if he's a bit slow... Hope not. :banghead:

Bring in on, Stone!!!

Zachary Holly is charged with capital murder, rape, kidnapping and residential burglary in Jersey Bridgeman's disappearance and death in November. Holly, 28, pleaded not guilty Monday to all charges.

In charging paperwork filed last week, prosecutor Van Stone said Holly restrained the girl "with the purpose of engaging in sexual intercourse, deviate sexual activity, or sexual contact with Jersey Bridgeman." Authorities have said the girl was suffocated.

Stone told The Associated Press on Monday that he plans to pursue the death penalty against Holly.

One of Holly's lawyers, Pat Aydelott, said he could not talk about the facts of the case but that he would use all available resources to defend his client.

I don't understand why any attorney would/could defend someone that does something this horrible. Especially to a child!

Zachary Holly's wife denied prison visit

BENTON COUNTY, Ark. —Records from the Benton County Jail listed Zachary Holly's visitors since his last court date. A request by his wife, Amanda Holly, was denied.

This just blows my mind.

If I were a defense attorney for this man, (and I would think Holly's attys are court-appointed, so they may have no choice), the only thing that would get me to work with him and to defend him in court, would be the law, according to the US Constitution. The 6th Amendment of the Bill of Rights states that every individual is entitled to a fair trial, so since I am an Officer of the Court, I will do my best to do that. That doesn't mean (to me) to do whatever it takes, honest or not, to "get him off."

And no, Holly was not fair to Jersey, her mother, her little sister, and all those who love her, but that is his right. So let him have his fair trial, and then lock him up and eventually stick a needle in his arm. That's what I, IMHO, call fair. :furious:

Hi CG :) Are you shocked that she wanted to see him, or that she was denied a visit? Either way I would doubt authorities want to give them a chance to get their stories straight, though I guess Holly's attorney could still help with that. I have my doubts about AH and how she could have been unaware of what happened that night/morning. JMO

I'm shocked that she would want to visit him! And yes, I think she was denied a visit because she will be called as a witness in his trial. What also surprises me is that his mother and half-brother both have links on their FB pages to the case/arrest.

...flows some of the most damning evidence.

With all conversations recorded and admissible, one would think that the prosecution would welcome Mrs. Holly's visit.

The defense, on the other hand...

Agreed!
The more fair the trial, the less basis for an appeal or retrial. It helps society to have a competent defense attorney for the bad guys too.

The wife of Jersey Bridgeman’s accused murderer has filed an order of protection against Zachary Holly, after she says he continually called her from jail, according to court documents.
In one three day span last week, Holly called his wife Amanda 33 times.
. . .“Since his arrest, he has continued to call me multiple times a day. His family has contacted on a few occasions on his behalf,” Amanda Holly states in the protection order. “I have told him I want him to leave my son and I alone, that we want nothing to do with him. He is still continuing. I have received seven letters from him stating how much he loves and misses my son. I want it to stop.”

So glad to see she's not standing by him!

The attorneys for the man accused of killing 6-year-old Jersey Bridgeman are seeking a mental evaluation, saying he may not be fit to stand trial.

On the denied visit, perhaps, tired of his repeated attempts to call and contact her, she wanted to tell him face to face that she wants no more contact with him and he should stop. "shrug:

As to the protection order, it seems to indicate she doesn't want contact so this coupled with the attempt at a visit IS puzzling but who knows maybe its the above reason.

mentally unfit ,my butt. IMO anyone who does what he did is mentally unfit, unfit to walk among us that is. But legally mentally unfit, typical defense attempt to mitigate his actions and totally expected. His lawyer IMO would be remiss not to at least try for that one.
