Holly undergoes a 2nd mental evaluation that his lawyer believes "will go in his favor." Hmmmmmm

Where I come from, we call that "doctor shopping".

Not a psychiatrist (MD), Patricia Walz holds a Ph.D.

Since 1996, she's moved away from clinical practice (treatment) and more exclusively toward the legal dynamic; i.e., consultations, evaluations, disability, competency, etc. She advertises/emphasizes capital cases in particular.

Looks like the typical defense 'expert'. Which is why even though the defendant resides in Benton County, AR, where psychologists/psychotherapists abound, Aydelott et al went doc shopping in 85 miles south, to Ft. Smith, AR.

Hearing postponed for suspect in 6-year-old girl's death
6:18 PM, Jul 24, 2013

BENTONVILLE, Ark. (AP) - A judge has rescheduled a mental evaluation status hearing for an Arkansas man charged with killing his 6-year-old neighbor.

Zachary Holly was scheduled to appear in court Thursday, but a judge this week pushed that hearing back to Aug. 30.

A court order filed Tuesday says a mental evaluation report about Holly isn't finished yet.

Holly has pleaded not guilty to capital murder, rape, kidnapping and residential burglary in the November death of 6-year-old Jersey Bridgeman in the northwest Arkansas city of Bentonville. The young girl's death ended a short life marred by abuse. Her father and stepmother were sentenced to prison after being convicted of chaining her to a dresser in 2011.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for Holly.

Death + Life + Life <--- in that order and "to be served consecutively" would be my preference! This is absolutely and without a doubt a capital case. If they give him an IQ test, and he scores 65 or so, then maybe a second look and only give him 3 LWOP sentences. Plus the burglary of course.

The "consecutively" is key just in case the DP or LWOP is reversed to 40 years or whatever. Never concurrently -- Never, I say!!

This is done at the "judge's discretion" in NC -- hoping it can be done in Arkansas as well!

Benton County juries and judges are not known for being soft on violent crime, including and especially child rape and murder.

The facts of the case, allegedly including Holly's seminal DNA found on his deceased victim, will lead to a swift conviction once the trial is underway.

As you are no doubt aware, prisoners accused of these types of crimes are held in low esteem by the general inmate population.

If Holly survives to trial -- he has already been the target of one physical altercation -- he will be found guilty of capital murder, sentenced to be executed, and then sent off to death row at the Varner Supermax Unit (Arkansas Department of Corrections facility) approximately five miles south of Grady, AR.

Thanks for the reply, Detector! You've made my day. Yes, I'm not surprised that it's been bad for him already -- and he doesn't look very tuff. Yep, he'll have a hard time surviving anywhere they put him. Low-life coward. Grrrrr.
