Nothing current for him in the court system. An OLD Failure to appear from over 10 years ago. for which he got 5 years probation. Since then it looks like he furthered his education, got a good job.

His Facebook (from which the missing photo with the fish came from). This banner with reference to panic attacks and depression is concerning. I hope he will be in contact with a loved one soon.

According to his step-sister, his disappearance is alarmingly out of character.

"He's known to go off with friends and camp a lot. He loves to fish, but someone always knows where he's at," Cindy Beth explained. "He's never went off like this."

April 11 2025

It has now been one month since Jody Pennington of Jacksonville vanished without a trace, and though time has passed, his family has still been holding on to the hope that he could soon be found.

On this difficult milestone, his family is once again pleading with the public, desperate for answers and holding onto the hope that someone, somewhere, knows something.

I'm sorry he hasn't been found yet. When he was first reported missing I checked the usual places, court records (sometimes that will show a traffic ticket AFTER the missing time which can be helpful with location, or the person may have a current hearing they're avoiding, etc.) but nothing like that for your Uncle. FB just had his profile - the banner about depression and panic attacks was a concern but people often post those for others they know and love that deal with those issues and that doesn't neceessarily mean THEY personally deal with that. Family members would likely know best if that could be a factor.

Nothing in any other state or county records, or social media I could find, but I looked as best I could. If you've got NAMUS and this thread going, that's something and members here can bump the post with updates as they come in or just in general, to keep it near the top of the thread list.

I am so sorry this has happened.

FLOCK camera locations in P.B. aren’t publicized. This does not surprise me given PB’s crime rate. But this could be why they haven’t said WHERE in P.B. he was seen and that matters (imo).

Do you know if JPD has access to any cellphone data (iCloud/GPS)?

Do they have any idea of why he went to Pine Bluff?

Could he have been going to the casino and somehow ended up in Lake Saracen?

When vehicles go missing along with the person- my first thought is it being in a body of water. If you’re driving to the casino from LR you go straight down Martha Mitchell expressway. You pass the courthouse, Lake Saracen (formerly Lake Pine Bluff).

Sorry, my thoughts are all over the place. I just wish we had a little more info to go on.

Praying for your family to find answers soon.

i guess I should’ve looked it up prior to posting it. It does look like there is a fence/barrier and a street in between the lake and the expressway. But there may be areas without it. Here’s a photo of the area I was referring to. it also looks like Martha Mitchell (HWY 65) isn’t the fastest way to get to the casino anymore. Long shot but I guess crazier things have happened.

An update was posted on August 29th by the Jacksonville Police Department

His vehicle was located on 08/23/2025 in Grant County. Namus was updated with this too.

He is still missing.

I'm glad they found the vehicle, but that just raises MORE questions. I was really hoping he'd have been found safe.
