Jonesboro police said they believe human remains found near a local softball field are those of an adult male. The remains were discovered in the 5000-block of South Stadium Boulevard, across from the Southside Softball Complex. Police say it appears the remains had been there for an extended period of time. Other items discovered at the scene suggest the person might have been a transient.

Human remains found in Nov. 2018 identified

Jonesboro police said in a news release on Friday the remains were identified as James Doyle Murray, 47, of Jonesboro.
